About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“We shopped in your store during the corona virus when everything was closed and by appointment only. The sales person was wonderful and showed us everything we wanted to see and showed us many other options that fitted our needs. We are delighted with our table and chsirs. Wonderful craftsmanship.”

“The delivery process was on time, which I greatly appreciate. But it was rushed and not pleasant. In the end there is a side board with heart wood. I requested that not happen. Plus a support under the bed is not positioned as I requested. A sales person said I could have it more toward the head board to hide it. I drove the guys to a place where they could have lunch and I know the driver did not wear a mask into the general store. We wear masks in CT. It was so rushed I do not remember whether he had a mask on in my house. I took pics of the rail today and will forward them. I also e-mailed Eleanor about the issues. I know the truck was heading to NJ after me and they were sleeping down there that day. We did talk a bit. They were pleasant, just in a hurry. The 2nd guy was quiet.”

“I was looking on the internet for a local furniture store in Chilton, WI. I stumbled upon Chilton Furniture in Maine and fell in love with their products. My wife and I decided to purchase the Cherry Penobscot Sleigh Bed and couldn’t be happier. It is a beautiful work of art. I look forward to seeing it darken over time.”

“I am pleased that I went with Chilton Furniture. I went to the showroom because I was hesitant to buy without seeing the piece. It is beautiful. The delivery was great My only concern was that the bed did not have any "gliders" on the legs. (Scratchy floors) I would recommend Chilton”

“I very much appreciate being able to have a repair done by the manufacturer on my swivel desk chair. The arm is sturdy once more and back in use. The time away was minimal and Seems to be well done. I have many pieces from Chilton and love the beauty and quality of each piece.”

“Table is great, staff is friendly and helpful. I am very satisfied. The only reason it is a 4 star is because nobody called/emailed when the table came in and I had to call and ask if it was there.”
