About Chilton Furniture:

Chilton is a family-owned, Maine company dedicated to selling fine, wood furniture, all American-made. We are known for our Shaker-inspired designs, and also feature Arts & Crafts, modern and cottage style pieces in solid cherry, maple, ash, walnut, and quarter-sawn oak. We are also known for the quality craftsmanship of our custom work. Many of our pieces can be custom built to your specifications.

Much of our furniture is handcrafted in small Maine workshops, and we also work with boutique craftsmen in New Hampshire, Vermont and the Midwest, many of whom have been partners for decades. All of these cabinetmakers have a Shaker-like dedication to workmanship, function, and simplicity of line and form. All of Chilton’s pieces are built to our high standards, and a growing number are original, proprietary designs.

“We just had our Boston Chairs delivered and they are absolutely beautiful! Stunning design and Incredible craftsmanship. We ordered online without seeing in person and so were a little nervous, but were thrilled with the results. Also, with shipping delays out of control for just about everything these days, the chairs arrived at our house in less than a 4 weeks (it helped that they were in stock). Can't recommend Chilton enough - invest in something that will last!”

“My Chilton bed is beautiful, solid, and so easy to assemble (no fasteners!). Chilton was also flexible about pick up, enabling me to pick it up from a store of my choice. The staff were friendly and responsive. Highly recommended!”

“The furniture was excellent but the communication with us about its delivery was poor. Initially it was suppose to arrive at their warehouse in 10 days. It took almost 2 months before it arrived and only after we inquired about its status one month into the process did Chilton tell us that it was delayed.”

“Last month we received our Burnette cherry bed, and are so please with the quality and craftsmanship. It took quite a bit longer than we expected due to pandemic issues, but we are very pleased with the outcome. Delivery was easy, too.”

“The table is beautiful, the delivery was easy, the delivery guys were nice. It may have taken a little while to arrive, but as far as I can tell, EVERYBODY making custom furniture is taking a while due to COVID, so I doubt that this was your fault. And you did a great job keeping me informed, and were very easy to talk to over the phone, so thank you! I'll definitely be keeping you in mind for future pieces and will be recommending you to friends and family.”

“Every part of this transaction was so simple and pleasant---a wonderful buying experience, extremely helpful, and a beautifully made product. They even wrapped our glass-fronted shelves in moving blankets for transportation to our island home by boat. WE highly recommend Chilton.”

“Great company. They had to change delivery day and they were very accommodating. Only issue is it takes a very long time to get your pieces. I’m sure part of that is covid supply chain related.”
