“My box set arrived on time, however the case was damaged as if a knife had gone across it. The second dvd would not play. When we phoned, we were asked just to return the faulty dvd and not the full box set. We are still waiting a replacement.”

Hi there Melanie Wheeler, Sorry to hear this. I was actually sitting next to Dawn who took your phone call re this on Monday this week I believe. I and she did not mention that you had stated the box was also damaged. Sorry if we missed that. Of course if the box is damaged you are welcome to return that for a replacement as all items should be received perfect. We only asked you to return the disc on its own as we only believed this was faulty. Please get in touch if you wish to arrange a case replacement.

“Classic Movie Stores always have a fab selection of entertainment at very economical prices - especially the older TV series which are not always obtainable locally. Delivery is good too. Good firm to deal with and no problems to date after several years of ordering with thiem.”

“I have purchased a number of times from the ClassicMovieStore and have been delighted with the quality and the service. I live in Canada and even though all orders must be shipped to me, they arrive in a timely fashion, in good shape, and best of all at a very reasonable price. I purchased a Region Free DVD player just so I could watch these wonderful collections of some of the BBC best series and performers. The cost I've saved even after the price of the region free player is still astonishing. And I could get complete collections not available anywhere in North America. People here are still being fed dribs and drabs of Last Of The Summer Wine at ridiculous prices. I got the complete series (more or less) from ClassicMovieStore at a price cheaper than only 6 dvds sold here in Canada. I highly recommend this store.”

“the sound and picture quality of the dvds was poor to the point of them being unwatchable I would expect more for my money than what appears to be a dvd filmed off a television screen using a video camera which wasnt tracked. I fear the cameraman had also had a skinfull ! will not be making any further purchases from this website”

Hi there Nick, Sorry to hear you were not 100% happy with your order. To be clear you ordered a complete set of Roots which is an official sealed brand new release from Warner Home Video here in the UK. We have along with many other UK retailers sold many of these and never heard these comments before. The series however was made in 1976 which may explain why the quality is not as good as a modern day release. We also notice you have not contacted us in anyway either via email and or phone. We would be happy to discuss and help you further to resolve this as we want all customers to be 100% happy.
