“We have now seen the first two discs of Poldark, which we have previously seen twice on tv, including when it came out originally. We cannot be sure whether it has been edited and shortened, as it is such a long time since it was first shown. When it was shown, I think on Yesterday, a year or two ago, I did suspect that one or two, possibly upsetting, scenes had been deleted. Looking at the duration, as stated on the packaging, this version does seem noticeably shorter than what is stated on a Dutch version recently available through Amazon. The BBC version only has one lot of end credits, etc for each disc, rather than for each episode, which may account for part of the difference. Anyway, we have no complaints so far, and my wife, for whom it was a christmas present is loving it. Makes a change from Jane Austen.”

“Fantastic! I can't fault the friendly and speedy service. I added a couple of items to my basket just before Christmas, but then decided to postpone my purchase in the faint chance that I might receive them as Christmas presents. I closed the webpage without removing items from the basket. I later received a friendly and personal e-mail from Classic Movie Store, just checking to make sure that I DID realise I hadn't purchased the items, as they didn't want me to be disappointed if I had thought I had completed the sale, if that makes sense! As it turned out, after Christmas I did have to place an order, as Santa hadn't been that kind. My order arrived promptly, and well packaged. 10/10. Time to wallow in nostalgia. I'll definitely be shopping here again.”
