Hi there Advice would be greatly appreciated. My husband has also been a Victim. The company phoned my husband who was sucked in and agreed to pay £12 which they took when he explained the conversation to me I understood this was a scam and contacted the bank and emailed them to say we did not wish to proceed and ask for them to refund the £12 which they ignored, they then continued to take £950 which we raised with the bank and changed account and requested a refund. We have ignored all the emails from them but now they are threatening legal action if we do not pay the amount of £950 in 7 days. I’m not sure what action to take next. Has anyone actually been taken to court by them and do we need to seek legal advice.

I am on the legal process against this scammers clement agency LTD. They have requested £1048 with court fee. I am going to court do what ever to teach them lesson not to rip off innocent people money. Any one had experience in court please share it will help to others.

SCAM! Be Aware... SHAME ON YOU CLEMENTS AGENCY! This company is a fraud, I seem to be one of the victims also. These scammers kept calling me for long time telling me they can lower my business rates. I never agreed to their rates which the kept sending by email. I told them the only time I would take their services as no win no fee. I told them if they are so sure they can lower the rates and save me money, I would then pay them from the savings which the made for me. One of their sales people agreed this over the phone and said they would only require a £70 deposit which would then be given back to me. same story as the one below, SCAM!! They took £70 for the initial report saying they could help reduce our business rates. After that, if we decided to go ahead with the service we would pay a further £770. We never agreed to anything and decided we didn't want to continue. A week later we received a receipt from the company saying they want the £770. We offered the money when they actually reduced our bills as it was very vague when and how much we would get, they declined immediately and took me to the court. Really poor service, very dishonest people. All they try and get you to do is to give them your card details for the initial £70 which seems insignificant but once you do, you're in trouble. We never signed any document to give them any authority, nor agreed to any terms and conditions. Their claim is that we became contractually obligated to pay £770 more once we paid £70. This to us is ridiculous, extremely misleading and utterly shocking. At no point in any of the conversations was this made clear. In fact, at no point did any representative of Clements Agency mentioned any charges whatsoever apart from £70 initial fee which was fully refundable. Two weeks later, when they demand further £770, there is no going back for you. You either pay their fee or they will take you to court. How is it that they have never been investigated for such unethical and shameful behaviour? All those poor victims who have been misled by this joke of a company, please report them to Trading Standards and Fraud Police. Clements Agency, you’re absolutely right. We never signed a contract with you, yet you’re claiming £770 from us. Why and for what? we are at court and let the result know after the hearing,
