“Absolutely awesome! Very well run and a really exciting and authentic experience. The only thing I would say is that we arrived during the evening in Winter and so struggled to find our way through the wood as it was dark and there were no lights. The actual experience was great though and I will definitely be going again!”
Hi - the best way to find us is "Clue HQ Brentwood" into google maps or waze as will take you direct to right where we are. Mileage may vary with other GPS vendors - I did contact all of them and in some cases multiple times. It is quite likely that when you came it was before we added additional signs on the road with reflective tape that glows in the dark and also lights with sensors that come on when you find us. Now it's summer it's less of a problem as even with the 8pm session it is not dark when people go in - becoming a bit dusk.

“Where to start...
Even though the location is down small back roads it was well sign posted so very easy to find. The location also adds a lot of atmosphere.
I went with my partner and it was our first time doing an escape room so neither of us were sure what to expect. We arrived early and were sat down to watch a short video on rules/hints and tips. The host also showed us examples of what to expect in the room and the best techniques... I won't go into any details about what we experienced in the room but it was a very addictive experience! At times you felt like the smartest person alive and at other times the easiest of clues were baffling (brain meltdown!)
Me and my girlfriend managed to escape with only 47seconds left and had 20clues to help us, which we were told was not too bad at all.
An amazing experience and a complete brain workout.
We will be back asap to try and survive the second room :-)”

“My friends and I went to Bunker 38 yesterday and had a great time. It was great fun and challenging - we didn't quite make it out in time but we were close and we'll be going back to play the Detonate game because we had such fun. Our Clue HQ host was very helpful. All in all a brilliant experience - great fun for friends and family to take part in.”
Hi Michelle glad you had a great time and we like to get people close so usually it is down to the last puzzle or last couple of puzzles as nice to have a sense of achievement and understand if you didn't make it how you could have escaped. We often give people extra time where it fits in with the schedule.

“I booked Bunker 38 for my son's 13th birthday. There were six of us in the party (2 adults) . The staff were very welcoming and we firstly listened to a short video explaining what would happen in the bunker. The clues were quite challenging to find but we were given extra prompts just at the right moment to help us out. We managed to escape the room with only minutes to spare and all thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.”
Hi Selina - we like the close games as it is like a group of teenage boys said when they escaped with 2 seconds left - it's like a movie where you just escape at the last second. Of course not everybody escapes but for most people they are close.
Glad we could provide a fun birthday experience and both groups of teenage boys and teenage girls tend to love it with the latter sometimes being our noisiest patrons.

“Had a great evening with my husband and two daughters age 12 & 15. A really exciting and unusual activity of solving clues to get out of the rooms. It was good to also get the occasional hint from the organisers to help us complete the task. Our girls really enjoyed it and want to go again.”

“We had been looking at doing one one of these for ages and when we saw this on Groupon decided we should just do it! It was really clever and very well done, we went with four of us which seemed like a good number. We did need some help but did get out, we were given just enough clues when we really needed them but not too many that we weren't doing it ourselves. Overall very clever and enjoyable, the hour does go very quickly and we all got very competitive! Would recommend and would do the other room.”

“If you have an hour to spare then you wouldn't be able to find a better way to spend it then with Clue HQ in Brentwood. I have been too a few of these escape the rooms and this one is up there with being one of the best. The clues and rooms were very well thought out and different. My only negative of the room would be the location being in a Portable cabin/hut does mean it can get cold. However with you running around trying to solve clues this can also be a blessing if there is 5 of you doing it.”
Hi Dean, Thanks for the great review. Now winter is out the way the temperature has certainly improved. Typically the first game of the day tended to be the coldest and so we added an extra heater which we would put on while getting things ready which takes the edge off. Unlikely to be an issue now Spring has arrived till Winter comes again. LIke you say with a decent size you soon warm up and gives you the authentic Bunker experience :)
Glad it matched up with the other games you played. When I have some time I have a list of escape rooms to visit.

“Have been twice firstly with a group of 6 adults who had no clue what we were doing & we failed to escape even with lots of clues given to us. We made some suggestions about the lighting & torches and these were listened to as on our second visit a few weeks later these had been actioned.
The second visit was with my 3 children aged 2x13 & 17. My husband & I had played before so were not really joining in too much as we wanted the girls to do as much as they could. We gave the odd hint (when we actually remembered what to do ourselves) but they were great & escaped with 12 minutes to spare & not a lot of help.
Friendly staff & although the place is a little off the beaten track it is well signposted.”
Hi Helen - We feel it is important to listen to customer feedback and implement things as small changes can really make a difference. I like the concept of Kaizen or constant and never ending improvement. We are working on some further changes to our other game - just need to get the right people in to finalise that and what I ordered for one part doesn't fit the bill so back to the drawing board.
12 minutes is a very a good time so well done those kids.
It is a little different to many escape rooms which are typically in big city centres but hopefully also with that it brings a little je ne se quois. A person today was commenting on the beautiful sunset and a few times I have seen deers wandering about.
Hope you'll be back to tackle our other game - maybe do adults vs kids again and see who performs best.

“So test your skills toggle with your mind solve the clues and escape sounds easy but its not this will have you questioning all you know how to solve where to look what to find how many and so on, i went for my birthday and had the best fun its all about sticking together using each person to what skills they have even then do you think you can,,!! anyone looking for puzzle solving with fun a great time with friends family work collages, boys / girls day out any age i promise you will not be disappointed go along see what you can do its brilliant looking to have a fun time and a great experience i would recommend Clue HQ Brentwood.”

“Looks like nothing from the outside but just wait till your inside and your challenge starts. What a fun experience. I went with a group of friends and we was apprehensive but read some good reviews so thought we should give it a go. We had such a laugh and the adrenaline gets pumping in the rush to succeed!

“We didn't know what to expect when we booked clue hq and it was a cold dark evening when the time arrived and we nearly didn't go but I'm so glad we did because it was one of the best experiences that we had ever done!!! Without giving too much away we had to escape within 1 hour....you can see the minutes ticking away as you try to find clues etc...and we managed with just seconds to spare!! A great experience for all ages and we will be having another go very soon!!!”
