“Very pleased with this suite of profiles on the whole. The basic packs give a better starting point than the Adobe Standard profile as they avoid clipping individual colour channels. Don't expect a big difference however. Obviously matching different camera outputs can be made much easier. I also have the analogue emulation for Kodak portra which is very good and editing from a linear profile can give excellent results very difficult to achieve from profiles with curve adjustments built in. The main downside is the cost if you need to get several camera bodies aligned. I think it would be useful if they offered 1, 3 or 5 discounted camera body bundles rather than buying each one separately, and allow you use them as and when a new body was required.”
“From time to time I would get envious of the film simulation modes and raw processor options that the Fuji cameras offered, but not enough to make me use one as my primary camera.
These totally eradicated that envy as soon as I started being able to use these. I was able to entirely color match the in camera output of a colleague's Fuji GFX 50s to my Sony A7RV. We did a few blind tests and neither of us could tell which was which from the color alone. Incredible.”
“Fuji emulations seem good., but I'm not crazy about Cobalt's system or company: you have to buy the basic camera pack first (which I've done). If you change cameras (which I've done) you have to buy a new basic pack for the new camera and the previous one is now wasted. There ought to be some form of trade in. On top of this, as a company Cobalt are rather limp. I've found their web descriptions confusing and dont always work well on android. I've emailed to get clarification and point this out and foudn the'clarification' to be just as confusing, I also had an email about making suggestions to help improve the website and rewards for the best suggestions. I sent a long email (because I'd like to see the company do well). Did I get a reply/acknowledgement/thank you? Of course not”

“The profiles are great, but the problem is it wasn’t made clear enough on the website that I also needed the basic profiles in order to use the Fuji profiles. I then wasted a 15% off coupon because I did this as two separate transactions.”
“I have a number of Cobalt profiles and have been quite satisfied with the quality of them.
My use purpose, which might well differ from the (more narrow) intended purpose which is to emulate, or copy a certain film or digital look, is to use them as a "finishing" application to give a project or sequence a consistent look to the images. I do not put importance as to whether that might be Kodachrome or Provia or Fuji.
I've chosen, and added to my Favorites in LR Classic a selection of finishes from each of the cobalt profiles that I have purchased and will apply just one to a sequence of images.
Initially I was disappointed by the Kodachrome profiles because in my mind they did not represent what I remembered of that emulsion. Now I just mentally discard the Kodachrome name and just use them when a sequence benefits from that particular look.”
“I bought the basic profile and Leica M10M emulation. Easy to install and very happy with the result. The basic profile is a "must have" for Sony cameras. Makes skin tones better.”

“Respectfully, none of the Cobalt Nikon Z9 camera profiles I purchased look better than the ProStandard profile in Capture One. In fact, they look worse (contrast, color shifts). After testing the Cobalt profiles with a series of my images from recent assignments, I de-installed them. I wish there had been a free trial period to evaluate them before making the purchase.”

“The Portra and B&W emulations are nice. I really like the Porta 800.
The Kodachrome product is unusable though. Colors and contrast are pushed to cartoonish and garish levels. Lots of clipping. It looks nothing like the examples on the website.
I also must have misunderstood how the system works, even though I read the website and FAQ. I was sent emulations specific to one camera model. I thought that you buy the base pack for each type of camera, then the emulations work for every camera that you have the base pack for. Super unhappy that if I switch cameras I would have to buy the emulations again.”

“The expendaed color gamut and more precise colors in these calibrated profiles go such a long way in my color workflow. Have them for all my cameras now and very happy I do so. Also flat profiles are great if you want to integrate your still images in film work and the color pipeline there.”
“As a casual photographer from India, I have been thoroughly impressed with the results I’m getting from the Cobalt profiles. I use a Fujifilm X-T100 with both the Basic pack and the Elite Portra pack, and I’m also subscribed to the Cobalt App on my iPhone 15. The quality of the emulations is fantastic, and my recent Instagram photos, tagged with #cobaltimage, have never looked better.
The only downside I’ve encountered is the price of the emulation packs, which can be steep for my budget. I’m very interested in getting the Fuji Digital, Elite Kodak, and Leica M10 Monochrome packs, but they are currently out of my financial reach. It would be amazing if I could import images from my X-T100 into the Cobalt App and apply the emulations without the iPhone-only restriction.
Overall, Cobalt profiles have elevated my photography, and I highly recommend them to others. If there’s any possibility of discounts or offers on the emulation packs, it would be greatly appreciated and would help many photographers like me enhance their work even further.

Ci dispiace di vedere un feedback simile nonostante il problema sia stato risolto una volta letto cio' che appare chiaramente nel sito, ovvero la necessita' di avere installato il il pacchetto base per la propria fotocamera. Ora tutto funziona come previsto ma rimane questa macchia senza motivo.
