“The quality of the envelopes is very good. The only negative is that the glue to seal them is terrible, I had to stick each one then weigh it down until it sealed. Not ideal when sending 150 of them!”

Thank you for your review and we are so glad the quality and delivery was as expected. With regards to the colour brightness, we understand this is always subjective, and very much depends on the quality and brightness/contrast setting of your monitor or phone when viewing online. It is exactly for this reason why we offer free swatch samples of all our papers for exact colour matching and also provide Pantone, RGB and CMYK reference codes for all our envelopes to avoid any issues with colour tones. Our friendly live chat, email and telephone support is also available any time before ordering so you can be sure the order is as expected each and every time.

“The quality of the products and the speed of delivery are very good. The website isn't as good - areas of it are out of date and frustratingly products on the website and provided as samples were unavailable and not scheduled to be replaced when I came to order.”

We endeavour to keep all products in stock, and with over 2,000,000 envelopes across 96 colours available. Due to circumstances out of our control, and as a direct result of UK paper mills either ceasing trading due to COVID or foreign mills stopping production into the UK after Brexit, we do from time to time at the moment have to source new suppliers for a very small select number of colours, but this a is rare occurrence, and is indicated clearly on the website. All our stock is live linked to our warehouse, so cannot be inaccurate or out of date by nature of the automated system in place. I can see from your order that you were delighted with the purchase of the Lime Green and Sunflower Yellow envelopes and that both of these were from the sample set of 8 (from the 96 colours) that you requested, all of which were available at the time of order in your chosen colours and sizes apart from 1 which was very recently discontinued by the manufacturer in that size, and indicated as such on the website.

“The envelopes are lovely, but it's such a shame about the extortionate shipping price. I only want a couple of samples, but had to pay £4.50 for shipping costs. They'd only usually cost .80p for a stamp. I wish there was an option to purchase samples with a lower shipping cost.”

Hi Rachel, Glad you love our envelopes. We do try to keep the best and most varied range of colours and sizes in the UK and Europe. One of the advantages of buying from us is that we are one of the few companies with no minimum order quantities, which allows customers to mix, match and order just what they need. As a consequence, our shipping is a fixed fee, no matter what quantities you choose, and covers not only the postage, which for us is a more expensive fixed fee with Royal Mail, unlike a consumer, but also our sturdy packaging, water proof protection cover and also enables us to ensure staffing for a speedy despatch the same day before 4pm. We also charge less than all our competitors in this respect. To compensate, as most people who order 1 or 2 samples are just looking for colour matches, we offer a completely FREE sampler service for up to 8 colours at a time, easily chosen from any web page on our site. “Disappointed to see that the envelopes were 13p on website but I was charged 14p per envelope on my invoice. Also disappointed that I ordered 25 envelopes but only received 24. It's a cost not worth following up but I won't be a returning customer. It's a shame because they are good envelopes and beautiful colours.”

Thank you for your reply. We have checked your order and can see you were charged the correct amount of 13p per envelope. The total invoice value was also correct, but it may have been the tax breakdown calculation that has confused you. We will always be happy to explain in more detail but rest assured, we are always available to assist with any queries like this anytime via email, livechat or telephone. We see you also took advantage of our unique feature where you can order as little as a single envelope in any size or colour, and chose 25 different beautiful colours. This order would have been individually checked, especially as it was 25 different individual envelopes, but again, always happy to assist and put right any issue you feel wasn't correct with your order. “Disappointing that one type of the envelopes have lines on them, makes them unusable! Apart from that the rest of the envelopes are good quality, ordering was easy and postage was swift”

Thank you for you order and we are pleased you were happy overall with the order. We have taken a look at the order itself, and the ones you mentioned that have lines through them were for Wedgwood Green Laid envelopes. Laid paper is a lined/watermarked style of paper and therefore come with a feint textured lined finish as standard, it is part of the effect of Laid papers. This is a particularly popular range with us, due to both the colour and the finish, especially for Wedding invitations and stationery. “Envelopes were of high quality, but several came slightly damaged or scratched so couldn't be used. Would consider using again, but need to be careful with quality control when packaging.”

Hi Paul, Many thanks for your kind comments about our service and communication, its always appreciated. Really sorry to hear that you had issues with sealing your envelopes. I've had a look at the batch of envelopes in question, and all appear fine this end after testing some samples. Sometimes, with gummed envelopes, it can take a little experimentation to ascertain the best amount of moisture or time needed to effect a perfect seal.
