I've been with One Call for many years and even fell into the trap of taking out a "VIP" policy. I pay two separate prices for each policy. Everything is easy UNTIL you need to make a claim. In my case, i've been hit with a hidden charge of 9% of the repairs because of my two policies having different mileage figures. The actual claim is for something that doesn't involve another vehicle - a metal drainpipe fell onto my parked car. A local building owned by the council have admitted liability and will pay full costs. However, One Call have decided despite this not being my fault, and the other party admitting liabilty, they want to charge me 9% of repairs costs due to an admin error on their part. You cannot speak to anyone over the phone. You get passed from Live Chat to the next Live Chat, nobody wants to take ownership of anything - "you need to speak to XYZ dept" and they then tell you you need to go back to the first dept. It feels like a scam. I've put in a formal complaint, was told they have to respond within 3 business days. They havent - what a surprise! It's now been 6 business days since the complaint with no acknowledgement. After going through live chat hell again this morning, another 3 depts later, i've been told I need to pay over £500 to pursue the claim. Again, because my mileage is lower on the policy than what is correct on the VIP policy - an error on their part. It's now 2 months since the damage to my car and nothing has been fixed. I've had to chase up daily just to get an answer for the next steps. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Why say you are a company paying a donation to EasyFundRaising if I go through so many sites when customers can’t accept your quotes as your site keeps rotating backwards ! It’s been really easy with other companies but when I used chat the operator was rude and unhelpful . Good luck with trying to claim if you need to - ‘ computer says no !’ I’ve gone elsewhere
