I stopped buying from Coopers years ago. They are the worse company on earth. Goods: everything they sell used to be made in china (I never give china a capital letter). The goods were complete and utter rubbish. Now at a different address I have received a catalogue. I intended ordering about six items THOUGHT THEY MIGHT HAVE CHANGED ~ Read reviews. It seems they have got worse!! Thank you my friends for your reviews. I will not order and never get caught by them again. They are an absolute disgrace. This is how they stay afloat. They buy the cheapest made rubbish from china. Charge 90% over what they paid for it, and most people do not bother to send goods back, and do not order again. This is where they make their money but their largest revenue is the telephone calls. The longer they make you hold on the more money they are making. Never telephone them. Never order from them. Make them sink. Would be doing good for the country. They are an embarrassment.

This review relates mainly to customer service, as I am still awaiting the goods I ordered three weeks ago, so cannot comment on these. When I ordered some garden tiles and a solar hanging basket, I expected a confirmation email. I never received it, or indeed any communication from Coopers so I checked my bank statement and saw that the money was in the 'pending' column. I decided to wait a bit longer, given the current situation. The money left my account ten days ago but when the items had still not arrived yesterday, I telephoned to enquire about progress, only to be told that I had returned it a few days ago. I assured the rather unhelpful customer services clerk that I had done no such thing. Then, she said that it had been sent to the wrong address and that I must have made a mistake. I assured her that, after 20 years, at this address, I know where I live. She said that the money would be refunded. When I told her that I would prefer to have the goods she said that the process had started and couldn't be stopped, so I would have to re-order. At this point, the phone went dead. I telephoned again and spoke to a different operator, who was just as disinterested and unhelpful as the previous person. She insisted that the error was my fault because Whoever took the order on the phone, would have double checked the details. I explained AGAIN, that I had ordered online and had received no contact (in any shape or form from Coopers) she told me that the only thing she could do would be to resend the order. There was no mention of a refund, or of a process which could not be stopped. However, it will take 10 working days to arrive, meaning that, from order to delivery (assuming that it does arrive as promised) will have taken 5/6 weeks!! DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE and NO APOLOGY, not even a half-hearted one. Neither of the ladies I spoke to would have lasted five minutes on one of my teams, where sloppy attitudes like this could have cost lives

Colin W - Bham Took delivery today of 3 Tier Step Ladders (made in china) problems assembling safety arms! i.e. The nuts do not fit the bolts and the bolts are 1/2 inch too short! Looks like a visit to Willow to sort it - dissatisfied with the inconvenience - Supplier should be notified as it's not Cooper's Fault! Hope your day is better than mine!

Two orders I placed in April have not arrived. I tried many times to contact you by phone but wait far too long. I left query on line and eventually received 2 letters on 28th May although dated 22nd. I have not been able to contact you as lines too busy. Very sad as the 10 days given for contact will now expiry. My problem could have been easily solved if you had contacted me by phone or email. Maureen REDMOND

Very disappointing service. Getting through to someone is very difficult. A long-handled weeder I bought broke within three days of delivery after only 10 or so uses. On 30 April 2020, I received an e-mail from a Chris Tripp to say that a replacement would be sent. Four weeks later, I am still waiting.

Do not order things from this company. You will only be disappointed when things turn ugly with your order and them. They are a let down. Watch out for yourselves here!

I sent this company an email on the 20th May 2020 asking them if they had received a returned delivery? I had originally thought that the item would come to me in one piece, as a whole. As I am disabled with arthritis in my hands I couldn’t put it together on arrival. I have had no reassurance as to what has happened on me making sure they received this item in return. I am disappointed with their lack of attention to this and any refund which I have not seen as yet? As a result I could not consider ordering from them again. Also I could not recommend them to anyone else either. It’s not the best to feel out of pocket and one would not want that for someone else.

Most of coopers staff need training how to deal with customers been waiting for parcel over 4weeks promises to sort out going to phone me back never do numerous premium rates phone calls to them waste of time never use this company again zero rating is to much as far as I am concerned

I received 2 items without problems. A third item ordered has not turned up. An email to customer services on May 6 produced an automatic reply that they would answer me in a maximum of 7 days. 2 weeks later still nothing. I was asked to review my original purchases and when I clicked the review tab it took me to a page that said "INVALID CHARACTERS"

Over a month and still waiting for delivery. Tried ringing, 17th in queue. Hung on (at 7p per minute) reached 2nd in queue, then told to leave a message but informed mail box full and cut off!! Emailed but still waiting for a reply. Have been satisfied in past but won't be ordering again. Even allowing for current circumstances this is beyond poor.bazalung

Useless ordered 11 days ago. Confirmed by telephone it was in stock at the time. Still not dispatched. Terrible company. Do not use them.

Ordered a helicopter outdoor chair for over a hundred quid. Order number WEB10184040. The item was in stock. I phone a week later to be told the item is in stock but in a bulky items warehouse. Another week gone by. No email. Not dispatched. Summer will be over by the time the chair arrives. Absolute time wasters. If you can’t keep up with demand you should wind the business down. Shocking service. I just want my money back and buy one from the local range. Do not use this company.

Ordered two items and received one on Saturday with note saying other item would be delivered when in stock. This means I would be paying a total of 9.98 postage which is totally unacceptable. The item I received is rubbish anyway and I will be returning it. Tried to email at the email address given to cancel second order and guess what it came back rejected. Not happy

Received advice of delivery double patio cleaner as ordered. Want to return another part of the order, cannot get through to them on telephone 67th in queue! 39th at 9.00 am as they open, how does that happen? Not a good company to order from, As reviewed before and was promised call from Customer Services, not received as yet.

I have used Coopers many times in the past and have received good service, but lately this seems to have changed considerably. I ordered two items on two separate dates neither of which arrived. I contacted them via their messenger service, twice, as my orders were still showing " being processed". originally they said that they would get back to me, but they did not. After a second message to them, they did reply saying that the first item, which wasn't cheap, had been delivered. I told them that it had most certainly not been delivered and asked for my money back for both items. As I did not hear from them again, I raised two complaints with Paypal as I had paid through them. Paypal were very good and I now have my money back for both items. Sadly, I shall not be ordering from Coopers anymore!
