I bought a 2017 bass boat from this auction company. We paid lot of money for this boat and they charged a super high buyer fee. On the pictures was no other damage than fiberglass damage and we called Copart make sure they are able to load it up on the trailer. When we get there the boat was completely filled up with water all away to the dash. There is now over $10,000 additional electrical parts damage on the boat. Also we had to put the boat by self on the trailer because they said they don't want to move damage vehicles. We spend 4 hours with my wife to load the boat on the trailer. AVOID! DO NOT BUY FROM COPART!

Bought an $ 18,000 horse trailer and the carged me $2900 in fees. That is crazy. But what really got me mad, bought an Travel Trailer in Amarillo copart sale right before christmas on a Tues. COULD NOT get out of Albuquerque the next 2 days because of weather. Finally picked it up on the Monday after Christmas. They charged me storage for christmas day and the sat. and sunday after even thou they weren't open. I could picked it up on any of those three day, but they were closed. Funny there were other guys checking out cars before me and they did not tell any of them about storage.

Copart has the highest fees of any auction, the worst customer service and doesn't even follow their own rules. Insurance Auto Auction is 100 times better.

Copart is a dirty company that doesn't even hide it. I was bidding on a vehicle recently that I was winning. It was a "pure sale" so, it had no reserve, and if you were the highest bidder at the end of the auction it was yours. Period. Well, less than 10 hours before the gavel fell, the listing was pulled and relisted immediately. When I called their customer support they basically said: it want making enough money, so they pulled it. It is a dirty business that apparently artificially hikes the price up.

Unfair and dishonest company. Copart bends the law selling membership which is refundable following Consumer Contracts Regulations which came into force on 13 June 2014 and implement the Consumer Rights Directive within a cooling period. They refuse however to refund a membership online purchase where the law states we have a right to opt out within 14 days. According to Copart people who pay the fee are not consumers. Following other comments about them there is only one advice - AVOID!

The buyer fees are up to 25% which is very unethical. Most Auctions are at the most 10% so please be aware before purchasing vehicles. I paid $1000.00 for a truck and after the Buyer fee, virtual bid fee and Gate fee I ended up paying $1700.00 which is almost double.

Besides as many stated here, it does not have customer service, thi sis just the TOTAL SCAM place. Avoid it at any cost. They are selling damaged vehicles, with indication these are in "RUN and Drive" condition, while these vehicles could never be in run and drive conditions after accident. There are tons and tons such reviews, thousands of court cases regarding this, this company should be admitted as total fraud. and go out of business. If you read this, spread out this information across, only this way would will be able to save other people from this monster.

Terrible customer service. Exorbitant fees. Waited over 4 hours to pay for and pick up one vehicle. Stopped buying years ago when service went down and they got greedy. Figured I would give another chance. Done for good this time

Horrible customer service if there is a problem with your account.I have spent two weeks and hours upon hours on hold with the A.R. department and customer service trying to get a problem resolved that would be as simple as making a courtesy call.I have spent over a million dollars with this company. They could care less.and are glad to tell you so.Most of the problem seems to be with the California division.Nobody wants to take responsibility .you get passed back and forth until your dizzy.I have asked a least a dozen times for an E-mail as to whats going on and in two weeks not a one.One star is a compliment

I bid on a 2005 PT Cruiser convertible where the damage listed was"side damage" and "rear end damage" and scratches, but "runs and drives". Before I got too carried away by auction fever, I visited the location and inspected the car. Staff was very cordial, and loaned me a car starter pack to start the car. Engine ran good and so all looked ok. Then I noticed that there were strut springs on the passenger floor and I wondered where these came from. The rear end of the car was down on the axle, and it was obvious that someone had taken the struts off and stole the cartridges and left the springs on the floor. I compared the "sag" at the rear of the car to the listing pictures and it is obvious that the listing pics show the rear of the car on its suspension as per normal and the actual condtion showed a suspension tampering that left the car undriveable. I alerted the store manager that I wanted my bid cancelled based on the stolen parts. This theft could only have been done by those with access to the car after the listing; namely employees. My bid was cancelled, and the car re-listed with new pics but the same description of damage as before- no mention of suspension damage. This is for the next guy to figure out I guess. Is this ethical behavior? Do we expect this kind of "catch us if you can" treatment at Lowes or Home Depot? I have bought cars from Copart in the past with good results. This experience made me read other reviews, and I think its best for me to stay away in the future from this operation, based on this non disclosure of problems with this car. Would you like to be the buyer of this surprise??

I purchased a 2016 Harley switchback from Copart Rochester It was listed with front end damage "no other or secondary" paid$3000 as they loaded it on my trailer i noticed the right cover was missing and also the ECM and BCM so i called out the manager. we looked at the pictures posted for the listing and the parts where on the bike . at that point he told me he new nothing about motorcycles and to take it up with STATE FARM INS .it gets better!! when I got home I found out the internal parts of the engine drive had all been stolen and the covers replaced. called STATE FARM REP. back and was told he new parts had been stolen but not the ones I told him about. nothing was listed on auction "front end damage" I am now looking into legal actions against Copart and State Farm

Copart cheated me for 10 years. Why would you sell a smashed car for almost full price? Don't think they charge full price? Think about it. Cost of parts to fix it, then add in their “fees” its now the same price you could have bought it at a dealership for. This is not even including taxes and dmv fees. Or waiting in line for a Genetically modified organism to give you a “harbored” title. I would rather be a homosexual then keep doing business with copart. Copart the handicapped atheist, copart the illegitimate son of fornication. May G_D curse copart and their management, both in this life and the next.
