Absolutely the worst to deal with a bunch of unqualified people working there. Their fees are outrageous I would recommend not buying from them.

I can say that CoPart does a service for Insurance companies and themselves, but little for a buyer. While insurance companies badger insureds to pay the least they can, they also make every effort to get as much out of their wrecked cars as possible. CoPart facilitates that by providing the most limited information and the least amount of help or cooperation, while weedling and gouging for every dime they can get, with a fee for everything, to as stupid as a fee to actually come in and pay for a vehicle, versus online, even if there is a dispute. Basically I have found that if you are willing to accept that you will be treated like something that should be scraped off their shoe, with some effort, you can, if lucky, end up with a car, that is just marginally better than buying from some individual. CoPart provides limited ability to communicate with them even with the lovely website (where they will press and press to upgrade the membership.)Nothing will be in your favor, help from them is a dream that won't come true.

Well I’m guessing it’s because your employees stole all the expensive items. So for months I try to get my belongings and nothing.. then when I take it public or to social media you decide you have to send what’s left after your employees steal all the expensive items.. the fact that you didn’t respond earlier shows you know what actually happened and that I wasn’t going away.. you know what is happening, you know your employees are stealing from the vehicles… and unless you’re a fool you know my name isn’t Lincoln.. do you see just how easy it is to mislead people? Either you didn’t bother reading the email sent to you with my name on it or you’re completely clueless. I shutter to think of either being true… but it’s either one or the other.. I am trying to post the pictures of the items missing. Apparently your website won’t allow me to do so.. but I’m confident.. that I will eventually get them posted.. liars and thieves seems to be the consensus it’s not just me calling you out.. Maria

If I could give them a zero stars I would. I was in an accident where my car was deemed a total loss. It was taken to Copart. This was in September of 2023, since then I have tried to get my belongings back. I had over $8,000.00 of merchandise in my vehicle, at the time I also had my two dogs with me. There was no transportation provided by Copart. However I was able to get the Towing Company to arrange for a ride for myself and my dogs. We were over an hour away from our home, which made it difficult to obtain a ride. I paid the nice young man and his friends $100.00 to take me back to my house. The very next business day I was on the phone trying to retrieve my belongings. I’ll remind you now, I had upwards of $8,000.00 worth of merchandise in the form of antique glass decanters, some of which had gotten damaged in the accident. However the ones that were fine and unbroken I had to leave in the vehicle because there was no room to carry my belongings with me, when I got a ride from kind young person and his friends, there were four of them myself and my two 60lb dogs. There was literally no room left. I was assured that my belongings would be fine and that they would be inventoried and mailed to me, or I could pick them up. Louisville Ky. Is a three hour ride from where I was staying in Grand Rivers, and my time there was spent gathering and the selling of my antique items. So I contacted Copart, and was assured that my belongings would/could be shipped to me so that I could continue to organize and distribute the other pieces from my personal collection along with items I had purchased specifically for resale. I was told that my items were there and asked what I wanted and how they could get my belongings to me. I was told at one point that my belongings had been shipped but they did not have a tracking number yet but would get that information to me so that I could track the shipment. I never was provided that information by the employee of Copart Amanda. I was sent a label from State Farm to send the title to Copart in which I promptly did so, as I was instructed. As time went on I began to get numerous stories of where my belongings were.. the items are in the mail, the items are here at Copart. I ask for pictures of my belongings to be sent to me, and they did so after they realized I was not going away. My belongings in that vehicle on that day consisted of a lengthy transcript of a court case in which I was transporting to a ghost writer for publication in the not so far future. There were four antique quilts, three antique afghans, nine antique cut glass decanters, one of which had significant value as it was once used by an Army Major that was stationed in The Panama Canal and had hosted Manuel Noriega at his home and these pieces were used at this particular social event. The Major, whom will remain unknown was a professor at The School Of Americas in the “70’s” and if not deceased, could vouch for the authenticity of the antique pieces and their significance in his career as an Officer in The United States Army. Also in the vehicle were two Harley Davidson sweatshirts from Sturgis that were extremely valuable to me. There were items in the vehicle that I had bought for that specific vehicle. These items consisted of a glass breaking tool in case of an emergency exit, tire pressure tool, a set of heavy duty jumper cables, a heavy duty hose pipe as I also have been doing landscaping from time to time.. there were landscaping tools as well as bug/grass spray. There were shells and rocks from trips to the beach and to the mountains. Collected by a group that wanted my expertise in all things nature, so they could have a piece to remember their time with grandparents and family and friends, to leave at their summer vacation/holiday getaways. Those times meant so much, and cannot be repeated as some family/friends have since passed.. All of these items were in that vehicle for a reason. All of these items belong to me.. I was under the impression that Copart was a reputable company. I know now that, that is not the case. I have been strung along by this company since September of 2023, it is now January 2024, I have been told by different people that my belongings were there… then told they were shipped, then told they didn’t know where my belongings are…. And in the meantime I’m losing money and I’m not happy about it. The fact that I was told so many different stories by so many different people, I don’t believe anything that comes from them at all. I have three surgeries scheduled this year and the fact that I was trying to get my business taken care of before my surgeries means I had planned and prepared for the downtime.. so that I would not have to be concerned with work, but I could just concentrate on my recovery. I will be out of commission probably this entire year. I believe there is no real sense of service or honesty with this company, and I do intend to continue to try and recoup my losses. I intend to continue to contact Copart and if necessary hire legal counsel to assist in my attempts to recover my belongings. If there are any other people willing to come forward with their stories of theft of their belongings, I would be happy to add them to my plight and maybe we can see our belongings returned or be monetarily compensated.

Copart took our vehicle that had been totaled by Allstate. There was no loan on the vehicle and we owned it outright. Copart keeps asking us for more and more information so that we can not be reimbursed by our insurance company. In fact, they have been nothing but rude and hateful. They know that there is not a loan and they have had our totaled car since December 10th. We need reimbursement ASAP and we are struggling. It was first we need you to sign and then we signed the power of attorney and we did. Then send us your title which we did. Now send us a notarized copy of x, y and z. It has been all about going through hoops for this company. I want the car or my money. We need to charge them daily for having our car that they have had access to for parts including a brand new engine. We have received nothing in return for our troubles.

So frustrating. Copart was the company in charge of distribution of funds for my car that was totaled. They sent the wrong paperwork 3 times for electronic signatures. The agents were helpful but still the company was messing up again and again. It has now been 7 weeks since the accident and still no payment received to put towards a new vehicle and the wrecked car loan has still not been paid off. I asked for direct deposit to expedite the process and I was notified that a paper check had been mailed, so now another 7 business days.

All of the customer help need a refresher! I have been trying to get set up with Copart . I have a small business and would like to bid Mn. And other states. Paid for llc, got the ein number sent all my info and had paid for 250$ premium plus 400$ deposit. First it’s address doesn’t match-24 hours or longer , it’s the driver I’d ??? Not sure. Another 24 hr , I have corrected what is asked - ask do you need anything else? Good to go, yes you are! Nope now it’s have to get a ? License or permit from the city or county? Nothing seems that clear after all of this. When you ask good to go and find out 24 hrs later nope!! I will admit not to good on computer but fill useless on getting this right after each time I’ve talked to at least 7 different people to help from customer support- good too go lol nope!

My experience with Copart was extremely disappointing. It all started with a significant delay of over two weeks before the car was finally delivered. Additionally, despite assurances, a promised refund of $203.96 to my credit card for delivery expenses has yet to materialize, even after a week. What truly aggravated the situation was the undisclosed damages found during a mechanic's inspection. The car, which was listed to have only front-end damage in the auction, had significant undercarriage damage that was not mentioned in the listing. Subsequently, my account was suspended, locking me out. Fortunately, I had the foresight to download all documents and capture screenshots prior to this action, ensuring I have evidence to support my claims. I am seeking compensation for the undelivered promised fees and the misrepresentation of the vehicle in the auction. This experience has been a stark contrast to my previous positive encounters with Copart during two earlier purchases. My hope was for Copart to rectify the misrepresentation, honor commitments made, and address the unfair actions taken against me. It's disheartening to be treated this way despite my compliance with all terms and obligations. Currently, I find myself ignored by their staff, my funds withheld, and my account, which had been in good standing since 2018, restricted. Overall, this recent experience with Copart has been disappointing and I hope they take prompt action to resolve these issues.

I took my 80 year old mother to copart to turn in her title and a little paperwork for her totaled vehicle through her insurance. The lady that helped us was great and they even let her use the restroom so she wouldn't have to use the portable potty. Everything took about 30 minutes. They organized the people in the lobby. Called out twice for people needing personal belongings retrieved. I thought they were great.

The company sh*t on me so il do the same. I don’t even know where to begin, I have never worked at a worse place then Copart, the yard managers are great, where as the office managers are rude arrogant ex conficts, and Copart you can delete this as many times as you want il keep posting it, started a year and half ago, not knowing they can get rid of you with a click of a finger I wouldn’t be so bothered if I didn’t pull my weight but in my eyes I put my head down and did the work they asked and in my opinion to a great standard. You don’t get any appreciation for the amount of work you do, being run of your feet, stressed, working in winter conditions without being able to hide from the rain, cold, frost which is fair enough as it’s a job. But s bit of appreciation wouldn’t be to hard. You get accused for stealing when multiple people go in the cars. People in the yard are bullies. People’s cars get absolutely ragged with video evidence. Loaders fly past you with cars on folks with one certain person who will literally run you over and hurl abuse at you. The pay is alright for the amount of hours but not for the amount of pressure you get put under, stress the company scream to help mental health wellbeing without sorting the nasty people who work there. The yard is a huge hazard with holes size of a crater with loaders flying past you with heavy cars bouncing around not mentioning cars being stored in water that goes up to the doors, cars are washed with oil all over them with no drainage, the equipment they give you are either damaged or 10 years old. The toilets are actually vile with human feces smeared on the walls and floors. Might not be accurate now as there finally having a refurb. This Copart review is legit fired me with no notice for no reason after being there for nearly 2 years. STAY AWAY

PLEASE READ COPART YORK Worst place to work for on the planet. My partner has worked there for over a year. A year being harassed and perved by an older man, also almost got ran over by him and on both occasions reported to head office (multiple times reported about him being a pervert) and nothing was done by it. However staff get let go for the smallest things for example my partner got sacked for “feeling unhappy” which isn’t a sackable offence last time I checked. He was the hardest worker and he got let go without any warning. Cars are treated like sh** and kept in puddles with windows left down so they grow mould, people rag around the yard in cars and nothing gets done about it. This is the worst place to work for and it needs shutting down or new management to sort the place out. This post will probably get deleted by co-part but I will repost over and over again.

This review is for the excellent service that I received today from you customer service agent, named Deja Johnson. I have been trying to get a tag issue corrected through my father's insurance company working with the claims adjuster and have not been able for more almost 6 weeks, and in less than 20 minutes it has been resolved through Co Part and have no doubt that this will make my 92 year old father so happy. He has been paying his insurance premium for a car that he no longer has that was deemed totaled, but cannot get his tags to turn into the DMV here in MD. She was very kind, efficient and thorough and explained everything and steps as to how she will make this happen! I'm not sure if you have employee of the month or at least a gift card...you need to hire more Deja's! She said that her GM's name is: Ryan Alequin - FYI, you have a keeper...give her a raise!
