“I ordered a wooden birthday cake for my daughters 3rd birthday, upon opening it on her birthday she noticed there wasn’t a red candle to match the red piece- instead there were two orange candles which made the cake incomplete. This was fine, a mistake - but upon sending an instant chat with my order number on I’ve received no response. The website clearly stated if the order number was on this there would be a reply in due course. Disappointing, after I felt like I’d paid a premium for this product in the first place.”

Hi Catherine, as per my email I do apologise that no one responded to your missed chat came through on Sunday morning. I do always aim to get back to customers as soon as possible but unfortunately weekend chats are not always picked up as our office is closed. If you had popped me an email or chased me up via chat again on Monday, during office hours, I would have got back to you straight away. I appreciate that perhaps you didn't think this would be necessary however. With regards to the issue with your item I have spoken to the supplier and asked if they are able to send you out a replacement, which should hopefully be with you in due course. I have also advised you of this in Wednesdays email. I understand it must be very frustrating that the candle is the incorrect colour. I would never wish for any customer to be left disappointed and will always sort problems out to the best of my ability in the quickest time frame possible. All I can do is apologise. “I am an overseas purchaser wanting delivery in the UK. It was relatively easy to navigate the site, register and make my purchase. The follow-up emails were prompt, succinct and clear. I do not yet have information from the recipient about delivery. It would have been nice to have been able to identify the items as Christmas gifts.”

“We bought the magnetic play scene sets from Cottage Toys for our kids to play with on the aeroplane. We ordered them pretty close to when we needed them and Jessica from Cottage Toys stayed in touch with us the whole time and made sure they were with us before our flight. The customer service she provided was excellent and I would 100% recommend them to everyone I know.”
