100% misleading commercials. Listen carefully to the "wording". Received my quote which was insanely high for the coverage! After having my lawyer read all the "fine print" I decided to NOT GO AHEAD with accepting their offer !! Worst of all the insurance companies in Canada!!

Please be cautious with this company. My husband recently passed away in October, and I reached out to them with all the necessary paperwork. The process seemed straightforward, yet I am still waiting for them to respond. I have contacted them numerous times, and they stated that my case is under review by the underwriter. When I asked how long this process would take, they couldn’t provide an answer. Despite my mentioning that I had submitted all required documents, they still couldn’t give me a timeline. I find it very disappointing that when it came to collecting my monthly payments, there were no issues. However, when it’s time to process a payout, the process seems prolonged and drawn out. Please keep in mind that dealing with the unexpected loss of a loved one is already overwhelming, especially for someone like me, where my husband was the main provider for myself and my children. This situation is not helping, as the bills and everyday expenses continue to pile up. Cover Direct, this is the last thing a person needs to face during such a difficult time.

No health issues in my life. Zero. Have had their critical illness added to my policy. I recently found out I have cancer and they denied my claim. For no reason other then I went to a hospital 9 months prior for tingling in my feet. Apparently skin cancer doesn’t allow me to make a claim. I was told it wasn’t any cancer specific. And now it is. I don’t recommend this insurance agency. I had to do all the work getting the health records as they said they couldn’t reach my doctor Which is BS. Great when they take your money each month. But try to collect your benefits and you’ll see how they turn on you. Good luck

Lied to from beginning. Did not tell us premiums go up every year. Cover direct messed up and now blaming us never recommend this company to anyone

They asked so many medical questions and when I informed them that I had mild emphysema they flat out told me that they could not cover me and told me to have a great day. Wow

Had a call from cover team direct, advising me they wanted to reduce my electrical policy that I have no record of taking out, asking me for my CVV code on my bank card, when I refused to give him this information as I have no contract of the policy he was talking about and asked him to send documation before I gave him this information, I was met with a very aggressive man telling me about his hourly pay rate which means nothing to me, what am I concerned about is the fraud factor which is involved with handing over my CVV code. I find this extremely poor customer service and this needs to be addressed ASAP.

This company has hard sell policy. Stop taking money out of the elderly s accounts for a full Years payments pretending you have their bank details. Rude and disgusting behaviour on vulnerable elderly people !
