“Omg after the free trial I was in love! I was skeptical, but I figured $5 for shipping would be worth the try. After ONE week my skin was noticeably clearer. I’m a huge skeptic of anything online, but this my friends is beyond worth it. It is $60 every 2 months, but I’m here to tell you I will continue to use them. I tried everything under the son to help with my complicated, sensitive and dry skin. I look forward to my face being completely clear soon! My only advice to those trying the trial is go easy on using it as the bottles are sample sized, you will run out very quickly. Make it last the whole month, and once you go for the full price one the product bottles are bigger.”

“I made it clear that I had very sensitive skin. They should be telling you to test an inconspicuous spot on your arm BEFORE ruining your entire face. I had a major reaction, but it was only confirmed because they said to do a test patch AFTER my skin was ruined. I’m 2 months out, and my skin is broken out and inflamed 100 times worse than it was before I started. There’s no way to know which ingredient it was because they create a formula fang addressed everything at once, which I think is bad practice. If you value your skin, see a dermatologist in person.”

“I used this product everyday for 4 months and listened to whatever my consultant told me but still my skin only got worse. I have stopped using curology and my skin honestly went back to normal, all I wanted to do was be able to say that curology really helped my skin but it did the exact opposite. Maybe if your acne is not bad to begin with this is a good product, but If you are already snuggling with consistent breakouts, just go to a dermatologist and don't waste your time on this.”

“I have always had really bad acne and I saw multiple ads for this product so I wanted to try it out. I've used this product for 5 months now and it makes my acne worse. I have super bad cystic acne on my cheeks and forehead. I used my moisturizer 3 times a day like my personal dermatologist said to and my skin is still super dry and a bunch of my skin falls off in little chunks so it looks like I have huge pores. I tried to cancel my order multiple times and it didn't work up until the 12th time. I paid $61 every month for a product that didn't last the whole month. I don't really think my prescription was made "just right for me" because you can't see much in a picture. I had a really bad and painful reaction around my mouth, nose, and eyes and my personal dermatologist said it was "normal" and to continue using the product and since they are certified doctors I trusted her and continued to use it because I thought it would go away after my skin got "used to it". I'm sorry but that is definitely not right. I'm glad it's working for some of you but it was definitely not working for me”

“I started getting acne in middle school and high school, it was never anything terrible but I wanted a treatment that would work because I had tried so many drugstore products. This product did the exact opposite of what I wanted, it gave me cystic acne, and painful skin irritation. My skin has never been the same since before I started, I cancelled the trial and tried to fix the 6-8 months of damage this product. Having a dermatologist look at pictures online isn’t enough, and even if they are certified pictures don’t show everything. I wasted my time and only on a product that just made things worse. I have never been so ashamed of my skin and felt so not confident in myself. The shipping process was also awful nothing came on time and I had to order my free trial three times for it to actually show up at my house. If you don’t want to take the chance of making your skin way worse than it is don’t buy this product.”

“I really like curology. It has calmed down my skin in all ways. I rarely have a breakout and if I do I just put curology on and it works it’s magic. I tried 10 step Korean skin care and it didn’t work, so I tried this product and I love it.”

“I never had really bad acne growing up, just the kind that makes a girl feel not as confident as she would like too be! I started using Curology November of 2019 and within a week, started noticing my skin transform into something it hadn’t been since I was a little kid! I loved the way my face felt and looked, I wanted all my friends to actually feel it! It was great! “I’ve never left a review on a product before, but I just had to for curology after seeing what it’s done for my skin. I’ve struggled with pretty bad acne and skin texture for most of my life, and I kept having a lot of flare ups in college. I decided to try curology and started using the product towards the end of January 2020. I noticed results in about a week, and my skin texture was super smooth. After a month my acne had reduced significantly, and my skin was noticeably much clearer and this helped so much with my confidence! I also switched to a milder cleanser and moisturiser (CeraVe) and this made a huge difference too. For anyone on the fence about it, I totally recommend signing up for the free trial and seeing how your skin reacts. This is literally the best skincare product I have ever used!”

“I honestly have zero complaints about the pharmacist or actual product (hence the 2 stars) although it didn't last a month at all .. definitely 2-3weeks tops - I just have an issue that I WAS NEVER notified of the date my next payment would come out so that I could cancel and avoid my card being charged. There wasn't a follow-up if I wanted to continue or not. I didn't really have an option to opt out. I contacted them via email and live chat several times prior to my card being charged & ZERO response until it was already shipped and charged $61.00 ... best part - NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS. Rip-off. I'm so happy it has worked for other people, but not for me.”

Hi, I'm so sorry you've had trouble with your shipment, I understand how frustrating that might be! We try to be as transparent as possible about the amount of product in our bottles. Our 2-month bottle holds 24mL of product, and our 1-month bottle holds 12mL. If you log into your account on the front page and then click on shipments from the dropdown method, it should show you the frequency of shipments, the address the shipment will be sent to, and when your next set will be shipped out. You can edit all of those from that page. As for being notifid, if you go select "account details from the dropdown page on the first page, under your contact info there is a portion that says "Text Message Preferences" and you can get alerted there. Here is the guide we have on shipments: https://support.curology.com/article/70-shipping-basics Unfortunately, due to the prescription nature of the products, we cannot accept returns after the product is sent out, but if you cancel 48 hours before shipment, your order will not be sent out. “Usually I’m n the type to write reviews but I have never felt more comfortable in my skin. Not only is my painful and stubborn acne gone, but my skin’s texture and oil production has balanced out a LOT. I Didn’t know my skin had the potential to look this good, I was sure I would have scars after all the popping and prodding I have done. This system has got to be my favorite because the products are my scented and don’t irritate my sensitive skin, it’s one bottle, once a day (compared to most subscriptions), and I’ve missed 4-5 days because I forgot it on vacation and my skin was still in the same, great condition. I love this stuff and I’ll probably be a lifelong subscriber even once I’m older since I have the option to change my formula to help with firmness and moisturizing. I also appreciate that there’s an actual dermatologist you can speak to and they’ll help you get what you’re trying to achieve. Btw I only use cerave face wash and moisturizer on my face and then at night afterwards I put on my curology cream 🤩🤩, thank you for creating simple and honest products”

“This actually did wonders for my skin, solved all of my acne problems, I still have scarring which I know takes a while to get rid of. The reason why I had to stop using curology was because of the price and dosage. My skin is way way waaayyy better than it was last year and I greatly thank curology for that. The pricing was really high for me since my skin only needs curology only 2-3 times a week. So making the dosage less for people who don’t need it as much and pricing it lower. I would 10000% start my curology journey again if it weren’t for these problems but for now looking for alternatives.”

We have the option to pause shipments, and you can do this by logging into your Curology account, clicking on your name, then going to "Shipments". Right by "Next Set" you can click on "Edit" and then choose the date on which you'd like your next shipment. “If you have hormonal acne, go to a real dermatologist that can prescribe you oral medication because Curology has not worked for me, and many others who have hormonal acne. My Curology dermatologist literally told me I’d have to go see a dermatologist that could prescribe me medications and that there was nothing much she could do. I’ve had a prescription since September 2019 (It’s April 2020) and my skin hasn’t changed at all. My dermatologist continues to alternate between the same 3/4 ingredients that are visibly not working. I’ve expressed this to her again and again and still she continues to just change the percentages of the same ingredients. It’s been over 6 months and you’d think she’d catch the hint that maybe she shouldn’t be using the same routine ingredients. It’s frustrating to pay $40 a month for it not to work, to have my dermatologist tell me to go somewhere else, AND your dermatologist insists on using the same medications. She literally keeps giving me Clindamycin, Tretinoin, and Zinc or Azelaic acid and changing nothing. So not worth it.”

I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling frustrated with your experience at Curology, but let's see if we can clarify a few things for you. 💜 First, I'd like to share some information about hormonal acne. While it's true that hormones can certainly contribute to breakouts, please know that acne is multi-factorial—hormones do play a part, but so do other factors such as bacteria and clogged pores. Although one factor may predominate, all acne is caused by a combination of factors. Therefore, treatments that do not affect hormones directly still help hormonal acne to a variable extent. In fact, these treatments are often necessary in order to counteract the multiple factors that combine to create the "perfect storm" that causes acne breakouts. Second, you mentioned that your provider recommended seeing an in-person dermatologist to discuss starting an oral medication to further treat hormonal acne. In certain cases, oral medications can be the best course of treatment for the hormonal aspects of acne, but some patients do require testing that can only be completed in-person (such as bloodwork). There may also be areas of concern regarding other medications and supplements that may interact, and medical conditions that may predispose to side effects. Therefore, we feel our patients would get the best possible care in these situations at an in-person practice. We hope you find that information helpful! “Over the summer of 2019, I started to experience some major breakouts. It was worse than what I've ever had to deal with! Some of my friends had been using Curology during that time and were trying to convince me to use it because of the results that they saw. I was very back and forth on why getting it until October 2019 when I finally decided to bite the bullet and try something new. Within just two months I instantly began to see results! My skin was softer and I had no more breakouts and the acne scaring that began to appear from the summer started to fade away! Its now April and I'm even using this company for a Promotion Project for one of my business classes at my school because of how much they have helped with my acne! 100/10 would recommend!!”

“Best thing I’ve tried hands down, I didn’t even break out when I started using it or “purged” Whatever you want to call it. It’s been six months and my skin is completely clear after having bumps and pimples in every single part of my face, it got rid of big zits and stubborn blackheads. I do not have a single complaint about this company and product, customer service on point, the product it’s worth the price, fast shipping, and that one thing that you can use to check the ingredients of makeup for example has helped me a lot. Also I stopped using it and my skin remains clear, so that means my skin is not dependent on the product, which was one of my fears to begin with. I’m soooo happy with the results that I am writing a review (never do it) and I can’t stop recommending this to my friends and family because girl I know your pain.”

Hi Kayla, Hi, I'm so sorry, I understand how frustrating it can be! A purging period isn’t uncommon when treating acne with prescription medication. While your skin adjusts to your formula and your pores begin clearing out, your acne can get worse before it gets better. It can often take 2-3 months before patients begin to see results with any prescription acne treatment, including Curology. Some do see results earlier, but it differs from patient to patient. Your dermatologist provider is the best resource for any questions you might have about the process. I'm so sorry about your experience. “The product reduced the redness on my face for the first 2 weeks, then my face got full breakout constantly since then. This was not too surprising because their acne treatments are made of antibiotics, and not all acnes are composed of the same microbes. They gave me the formula by just looking pictures of my face and tried to guess what kind of acnes it was. Secondly, microbes become resistant to antibiotics too. This is probably part of the reason it stopped working for me. When I asked them that, if I find a formula that works for my skin, whether I have to keep using it for the rest of my life. And the answer was yes. At this point I started to feel uncomfortable with the idea of putting antibiotics on my face for the rest of my life. In my case it was clindamycin and azelaic acid, which are antibiotics to treat severe acnes. But I told myself, I'm ready half way through with this subscription. Maybe I would just find a formula that works, let it clear my skin, then stop it. Another reason I carried on was because they advertised that it would take 3 months to see the results. I was on the treatment for 4 months but nothing had improved. Why 4 months? The answer is they charge every 2 months for the subscription, which means customers would be on the hook for 4 months before they can definitely say whether a formula works or not. It is true that nobody made me pay, but I felt as if I was pressed to pay for 4 months in stead of 3 months. And if I chose to switch the formula, I would have to pay for another 4 months. This is unfair for the customers. When I canceled my subscription, they asked if I wanted to add pills. I thought this is very interesting because if I wanted a prescription I would have seen a doctor for it, not from somebody who never examined my condition in person. Having said that, I think it might be a good thing that this product did not work on me. I realize now that if I have to be on tropical antibiotics for the rest of my life, I would rather not do it because it is not supposed to be the way my body would function naturally.”

“I really had some persistent Adult acne that made scars on my skin and always having some cystic acne on the jaw line, I was fed up seeing my face like this and thought to give curology a try, I started seeing some improvement after the first month and now I have using it for the past 4 months and I’m a fan of it, it really made my skin smooth and fading my acne scars and no new scars so far, I’m loving it!!Thank you curology!!”
