“Strangely, my review didn't end up appearing and I am having to type this all over again. I would recommend purchasing a chocolate cake over the fruit cakes. The cake sponge was moist and paired well with the custard, crispy pearls and freeze fried strawberries but the strawberry buttercream was greasy and cloying. This made for an unpleasant combination so we scraped off the entire frosting on top of the cake and cut out the buttercream bits sandwiched between.”

“Cutter and Squidge not only failed to deliver a Christmas gift cake despite the order was made well in advance, but their customer service put the responsibility with the delivery company for the fail. Although the website gave me the option for a next day delivery for my postcode on certain cakes (I have the picture to prove this), which I chose and paid the express delivery fee, the cake never arrived despite countless calls and emails to the customer service and my efforts to speak to a manager was disregarded. As the cake was a Christmas gift, we had requested our hosting family to not get any desserts as we had ordered a cake which made this whole thing even embarrassing for us. I tried asking customer service immediately to send another cake to the address as a redemption to our hosting family for the mess and they refused to do that but instead offered a £20 credit note for next purchase despite me notifying them that I will close my account with them and not order again. If they provided correct information in their website and write a two day delivery instead a next day delivery option, I would have chosen another local option to save the hustle. Their customer service attitude was completely unacceptable to which I kindly noted that is was their responsibility until a product they sell gets to the final destination, the customer. Especially as this service was charged and paid well ahead of time. I expect nothing but the service they promote in the website, at the time stated, for the expense asked and if they can’t achieve that, then they are misinforming their clients and can’t comply with their own rules.”

“Had the mixed cookies from cutter and squidge about 3 years ago and there were so good. When I got a promotion at work last month I ordered these cookies as a reward and they were awful. Not sure if they changed the recipe or it was a bad batch, but I was very disappointed”

“I'm a repeat customer over and over again. Friends have loved the hampers for special occasions. Great to have a luxurious hamper that doesnt automatically include (but can include) alcohol.”

“I ordered a Passionfruit And Pistachio Cake for my husband's birthday. Paid extra for delivery between 8 - 12AM, but cake arrived at 2PM. Cake is well packaged but noticed a very strong fishy smell that I think is coming from the thick paper ring around the cake. Smell didn't exactly transfer to the cake but it was very off putting! Think overall is expensive for what you're getting..”

“I ordered a cake all the way from the United States for my boyfriend who lives in London, and Andrew made the experience flawless! While I had already chosen the cake, Andrew went out of his way to ensure every detail was perfect. His friendly and attentive service made everything so easy, even from across the ocean. My boyfriend absolutely loved the cake—he said it was the best he’s ever had, not too sweet, just perfect and delicious. “I ordered a 30th cake about 2 weeks in advance. On the day I had a message from DHL to say they will deliver to the restaurant. They never did, restaurant was open from 8am and fully staffed. I make countless phone calls to the company all afternoon and although we were only in London they did nothing to send out another cake nor call me back with a solution. Don't know why they need your phone number when you order the cake if they won't use it when they have a delivery problem. Very disappointed to not have a celebration cake.”
