“We have been very happy with your products in the past, unfortunately this time the cake dismantled s soon as we took him out of the box and after cutting one slice. We kept it in the fridge until 1h before serving. Kept it in the kitchen and never took it to the garden to avoid the heat. Still was a disaster ;(”

“Extremely disappointing. I bought a passionfruit and pistacchio cake for my partner's birthday and the moment we cut it I felt bad. The decoration on top was spotless, the cream all around the cake looked gorgeous and the packaging was perfect. But the sponge was dry, dense and bland, and the "thick" layer of cream outside turned out to be the thinnest layer of cream I've ever seen. We basically paid £35 for a small piece of sponge cake :(”

“The main reason I purchased this item was because of the nice packaging it was supposed to come in but instead as given a plain orange box. Very disappointing and was a little embarrassed to give to my friend.”

“The cake looked ok, I really wanted this to taste good. Though the flavour was nice enough, the sponge was sooooo dry. I was so disappointed and wouldn’t be buying anymore cakes from you. I also wouldn’t recommend buying for a special occasion like I did for my partner’s birthday - it’s a shame it didn’t work out.”

“The cake was much smaller than it looks in the website, and taste was ok. They also charge a lot for delivery. I ended up paying £40 for a tiny cake. I should have bought one from Tesco.”

“Easy website and prompt timely delivery. Unfortunately the cake was very squashed on arrival despite the Pete tube packaging. A little disappointing as it was a birthday cake for my husband. If it was a larger cake for a large celebration it would have been very upsetting. As it was so crushed you wouldn’t be able to present it… especially with candles etc.”

“Biskies were nicely presented but way, way too sweet. The recipe needs to be adjusted to bring down the sugar content significantly. One bite and I could already feel a headache coming on. Makes me wonder if anyone at the bakery is tasting what they're producing.”

“So where do I start? I bought these as a Father’s Day gift. To start off with, the packaging was excellent and so was delivery, that’s why I gave 2 stars. Unfortunately, my husband and kids and myself included just thought they didn’t taste good at all. I feel so horrible typing this because I don’t want to be negative but if I’m being honest, we chucked more than half in the bin because we found the taste weird. One of the flavours was supposed to be chocolate biscuit with Belgian chocolate cream but instead it had white cream filling and that one just tasted weird, almost sour tasting. Unfortunately it didn’t go down a treat and I felt it was a waste of money. But they looked amazing and delivery and packaging was so good, I can’t fault that. I just wish I’d gone for something else like the brownies because clearly this just wasn’t something to our taste and it’s not the companies fault in the least bit. Thank you anyways cutter and squidge.”

“I ordered cake with candles but the candles didn't arrive. Not very happy about that as we didn't have candles for the celebration! Cake was very nice though. Customer service was helpful to proceed with refund but sounded very reluctant at first and asked us to check multiple times where the candles went (very clear that they were nowhere to be seen)”

“Purchased 2 sample boxes for a wedding tasting dinner with friends. The carrot cake was excellent! The other cakes were awful, the sponges were so dry and the buttercream was just butter... I never give bad reviews but the cakes were not good. Given 2 stars as the carrot cake was one of the best I have ever had! but the other cakes were all thrown out... No-one wanted a second bite :( very disappointing”

“I bought a beautiful mixed box of goodies for a colleague as a thank you when I had covid, which were to be delivered to her at work the next day. Unfortunately, it wasn’t clear on the delivery it would be delivered by DPD and I was alerted by them I would have to collect the parcel from my nearest pick up point- something I couldn’t do due to having covid. I contacted DPD who said they would be happy to change it to my work place but couldn’t because of the way C and S had filled out the delivery and put the name in the first line of the address. I alerted C and S who apologised and sent me a voucher to cover the costs. Unfortunately as the parcel didn’t even arrive at the pick up point until a week after the due date, having waited in a depot for 6 days and there was a 4 day shelf life on the goodies, there was little point in ordering them. I appreciate this was unfortunate but I would rather have had a refund as the whole point of ordering something lovely for someone, to be delivered to them was that I had covid and couldn’t go out and choose it myself. After my experience I don’t really feel I want to order anything else. It’s a shame as they did look beautiful!”

“Packaging was solid and cake was intact. However the icing was hardened and the use by date was only 4/5 days I love this cake normally buying fresh but not having a good experience ordering online especially with £6 postage”
