“Great to get hands-on experience of a variety of topics in Cybersecurity. Easy to understand and a great way to get your brain thinking.”

“It was quite fun however, I was often stuck on parts. Even with the hints, there was no way to for me to get past certain levels and learn which kind of took out the whole learning aspect of the program. Yes, it was satisfying to get past them but there were really a few levels where I couldn't do anything no matter how hard I tried, even with the terminal.”

“It is challenging, but rewarding at the same time! Not only have I developed important skills in the cyber security field, but it has taught me what perseverance is truly. I really enjoyed the group feature which allowed me to see my progress in comparison to others across the country. It motivates me to complete more challenges and climb up the ranks!”

“The CyberStart course was amazing, it honestly changed my life! The challenges were really fun and exiting and I have a new found love for cyber security. I participated in the Cyber Discovery, which has unfortunately has ended, however it wouldn't have been the same without the unofficial discord server to help with challenges that I got stuck on, as many of the levels were 'guessy' and not very realistic ... cryptonite :), and the hints were mostly useless too. Another annoying thing is that you had to get ALL of HQ base to be able to get onto the final one. The course wouldn't have been the same without SANS foundations and the online CTFs too, however CyberStart itself as a product is brilliant. I would definitely recommend it to others.”

“Cyberstart America is a very fun game for anyone who wants to gain programming, computer, and hacking skills. There are many levels, bases, and different categories for challenges, giving the player a huge scope of skills to learn, from forensics to linux to cryptography to exploitation. It's kind of disappointing to hear that the National Cybersecurity Scholarship competition is going to be canceled this year, but I still look forward to this year's Cyberstart America, and I hope you all enjoy it too!”

Cyber Discovery was a remarkable program. It made CyberStart available for free for over 100k students in the UK, and I've been simply amazed at some of the young talent that had turned up, and now forms a part of the community.
