Launched in February 2010, Damsel in a Dress is the mastermind of business partners Marshall Doctors, Amanda Seabourne and Alison Mansell – the designer behind the famous Marks and Spencer grey spotted dress as worn by Samantha Cameron. Initially stocked exclusively in nine John Lewis stores and online, the label was launched in all 26 stores after a phenomenal first season and distribution has since grown to include 35 independent boutiques across the UK and Ireland and its own e-commerce website www.damselinadress.co.uk.
Confident, youthful and oh so stylish, Damsel in a Dress is a luxurious yet affordable label showcasing a collection of perfectly cut pieces and fashion-forward designs. Encompassing a selection of stylish coats, jackets, tops, and of course dresses, the label spares no attention to detail, with all of the garments being handmade and cut out on a mannequin to get the desired shapes, quality and finish of couture.
