“On moving day the van arrived more or less on time and then got on with the removals quickly and efficiently. At the new house the men arrived about 1.30 after their lunch break. The issues thereafter were not of their making in that we couldn't get the house keys until 4.45 because of delays with the conveyance. So, unfortunately I had to pay for several hours of waiting time. all in all a good service if slightly expensive. I would consider using them on a further occasion.”

“Excellent service from start to finish. We received a quote and were messed around with completion dates, but nothing was too much trouble when we kept phoning to explain. The vans turned up nice and early in the morning, loaded up and waited outside our near house until we had received the keys. They took furniture apart that they new cold easily get damaged i the van if left together. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.”

“I've used Darvills previously and they were pricey but did a good job. I decided to use them again for a house move out of the area. The quote was expensive but moving house is hard work and I think people should be paid a decent wage for all the lifting, etc. The removal went alright, the removal men came a little later than the estimated arrival time but that was okay. They took a few breaks but again, I know the job is hard work so I had no problem with this. My new house was around 50 mins drive away and the guys decided to take a lunch break before travelling over to the new house - this was fine with me. The rest of the move went okay. I was shocked however to be given a further invoice the next day for £270 'waiting time'. I had already paid around £1500. I queried this as I was unaware of a waiting period as the guys said they were taking a lunchbreak before going to the new house and despite me asking them to call me to let me know once they were heading over to the new house, they didn't do so. They seemed very casual and told me they'd just see me when I got there. So I think charging me for a waiting time was unfair. When I queried this, I then got told that this charge was actually because the removal men didn't get to the new house by 1.30. So that feels like the late start, all the breaks and the long lunchtime ensured there was no chance they would get to the new house by 1.30. It feels like they screwed me over this time and I don't like this type of work ethic. I wont be using or recommending Darvills again due to this. For the sake of £270 they've lost their once excellent reputation with me.”

“Darvills moved us today and were exceptional! The level of professionalism and the care they took with our possessions rivals NO ONE… I highly recommend this company. The lads worked tirelessly… we had so much stuff. It took 4 hours to pack and less that 90 minutes to unpack. They put our clothes away. They dismantled and reassembled our beds and dining table effortlessly. The best in the business by far! They made a stressful situation enjoyable! Thank you very much.”

“A big thankyou and shout out to a great team, who showed great professionalism and care in moving our items from Bradford to Blackpool. Even the large potted trees and plants were meticulously wrapped and cared for. Everything moved without damage and placed where we asked. Nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend to anyone needing a trustworthy, polite, stress free and caring move. Thank you so much team, you were amazing.”

“The whole team at Darvills, including Stacie, Shirley, Craig, Mike, and his team, are reliable, experienced, and efficient, and they make a really stressful period much MUCH easier. Before the move, they were always attentive and quick at clarifying any questions we'd had. During the move, everything happened smoothly, and the whole crew was lovely, courteous, and incredibly helpful. 100% recommended!!!!!!”

“We recently moved from Yorkshire to Dumfries and Galloway and I have to say that Craig and his team were absolutely outstanding from our very first phone call to the last box being taken off the lorry. They stepped in at four days notice as we had been let down by a previous company. They went above and beyond our expectations and we have no hesitation in recommending them to everyone, cheers guys David and Karen.”

All our property was in storage with you for 5 weeks and nothing was lost or damaged at any stage. Overall, a really professional service from start to finish. “We used Benns to move home for a short notice booking. Everyone at Benns/Darvills from booking admin to Stacy the GM could not have been more helpful. “Darren and his team moved us from Hipperholme to Addingham in August. What fantastic service, all the team were brilliant, happy, very hard working and very sympathetic to our needs and wishes. “The 'crew' arrived on time, did exactly what it said on the quote were very helpful both loading and unloading and made things easy for one stressed out customer. The cost was reasonable for what was involved but moving is never cheap. Would definitely recommend for longer distances.”
