“I have just visited the fragrance department in the Warrington branch with my disabled mother looking for birthday presents and was served by an assistant by the name of Danielle (this might be misspelt)small with long blonde hair she is an excellent example of how a shop assistant should be enthusiastic and extremely helpful and encouraging to select the right product she made my mums visit very enjoyable would suggest she gets the award of shop assistant of the day thank you”
“Promised a text message with 2 hour delivery window no text so phoned only to be told that becasue my wife ordered it they would not tell me despite having all the order details what was happening to our delivery, my wife was working and I had to stay in all day waiting , guess what nothing arrived.
I wouldn't even go into a store to use the toilet . Rubbish service and rude operator

“Benefit silverburn manager and Natasha spent a lot of time with my 15 year old daughter to see what make-up products contained zinc as she has acne and the doctor recommended wearing makeup with zinc and to see what benefit products which she already had - which she could wear. Natasha selected foundation (which contained zinc) and applied it to my daughters face my daughter was very happy we would definitely shop there again - very helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble”
“I purchased a suit on line they sent it I never got it so I asked for proof of delivery after many atempts to get a response from customer care . The signature was a single letter a j and they maintained this was proof. What courier accepts a j as as a signature
I explained I never received it there answer was they actually don't send the items they come from different locations via a courier service and the courier has said that's proof so there is nothing else to discuss they will not refund or credit me
I will never ever use Debenhams again the customer care couldn't care less”
“We purchased one of the bonded leather chairs in 2013. After 3 years, the 'leather' started to degrade. Informed customer services and it has taken at least 4 or 5 phone calls to even get some sort of response. Eventually spoke to someone in the department to be told that they could supply the 'parts' at our expense. Very poor customer service and I would certainly not buy any furniture again from Debenhams.”
“I wanted to speak to my local make up counter in Sheffield so rang the only number I could find (a central hub I think) only to be told to ring back in an hour as they couldn't put me through as their system was down. I asked if they could just give me a number but no, they are not able to do that. I ask you? What kind of service is this. Suffice to say I rang John Lewis and gave them my custom. Debehams - sit up and listen - you CANNOT treat busy people like this. We will go elsewhere. I won't visit you out of principle now!”
“After ordering and paying for a rug from Debenhams on 29th September upon arrival it was too small. This was obvious without undoing the packaging. I telephoned (premium number) for Debenhams 6 times to have it collected. Finally I visited the shop in Oxford Circus 4 times. I am disabled and have to use a stick to get about and unable to get around easily, very difficult as I cannot use the tube. Despite a Manager and three assistants attempting to book a courier through their Customer Control Department the courier did not arrive. Finally after more visits to the store another collection date was arranged. The shop assistants were appalled and attempted to speak to Customer Control themselves. Eventually with the intervention of the Manager the collection too place and the rug returned. I waited almost 10 weeks from delivery of the item to return. Debenhams finally apologised by offering £15.00 by way of compensation, however with two spelling mistakes in their email their "exemplary manner regarding after care service is non existent; the telephone number is a premium rate number and the telephone operator (when she eventually did answer the call and put me through 7 minutes later!! did not even know where the Rug Department in the store was situate. The reason according to the Manager was "that she was new" and had not been given a tour of the Store... Sorry Debenhams you have lost a customer due very very poor customer service. All in all a very sorry state of affairs and this customer will not be purchasing anything in Debenhams again.

“I bought a pair of RJR.John Rocha Dark brown leather fleeced lined ankle boots. Debenhams asked me to write a review later and when I wrote that these were over priced and ill fitting, they rejected the review. I hope this review helps if any one stumbled up on those boots. They take for ever to get in to as you have to loosen up the laces almost all the way down. Not even worth £ 25, but they are selling this for £ 110. Stay away from it, and may be the whole range.”
“For the last few years I have been looked after by Nicola Smith - one of the Personal Shoppers at the Leicester store. She managed to find clothes to fit and make me feel good about myself when I was at my biggest and recently she has helped to update my wardrobe now that I am 4 stones lighter. The service I receive every time is amazing. Nicola has a chat about what I'm looking for and then leaves me in a spacious room with magazines and a hot drink whilst she goes hunting for outfits. There is never any pressure to buy and Nicola often brings clothes I would have never picked out but I end up loving them. I would recommend this free service to everyone - a real pamper time!”
