“My order 103243051 never arrived but the deliver company GLS say they delivered it today at 18.32.
What a complete lie.Do they think customers are stupid ?
This is my last order with this useless company”
“Best Price Online = False
Do not order from this website if you think you are going to save money. If you are ordering to the UK, there will be both import VAT + handling fee from the logistics company Depor choose. Add the that the long delivery time and you will end up spending more money and taking more time than having walked into a store in the UK.
They are not the "best price on the internet" when you actually factor in the costs.
Fuming.
Item:
Venu 2 - £315.32
+ £9.99 shipping and handling
+ £63.06 Import Vat
+ 12 Clearance Fee
Total final price: £400.37
Currys: £349 - no delivery fee”
“Dont even attempt to purchase something from this company if there is a chance you may need to send it back! They make it virtually impossible to return anything!”
“I was sent the wrong swimming earplugs, I complained and asked for them to be returned with a full refund. It has been 3 weeks to date since receiving the wrong items, which they now claim are the correct items - having since changed the item picture on their website! Fortunately I took screen shots of my online purchase at the time and have proof. Soooo dodgy!
I seem to be yet another victim to what other complainants state - that one is made to believe they are buying from a UK company/website, only to find out they're Spain based, with zero customer service interest.
This company is one huge headache to deal with, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!”
“Very poor customer service….at best they are incompetent and really they should not sell outside the EU if they can’t fulfil they customer commitments
First I'll start by saying that I have made a couple of orders through Deporvillage, with the first one everything went well and I was actually very impressed with the delivery speed (1 week to Australia).
However things took a different turn with my second order when I needed to return it. I sent the parcel back on 24/03/2021 following all the instructions provided, unfortunately the parcel got held by the Spanish customs, they contacted me, it was in Spanish but with my limited Spanish and the use of Google Translate I was able to ascertain that they needed additional documentation to prove it was a return. I try to send the original invoice but someone with a Spanish ID number needed to create an account, so I contacted Deporvillage and they assure me and I quote 'we are working with our responsible on transportation to free this package'. This went on for 2.5 month of back and forth with Deporvillage and every time they told me they were working on it, at one stage they even said and I quote again 'If by any chance your package is returned back to you, no worries, we will proceed with a pick up at our own expense'. Nothing happened, then after 2.5 month the Spanish customs decided to send the parcel back to me which I have received on 12/07/2021, more than 3.5 months since I originally sent it back.
Now Deporvillage is ignoring their earlier commitment of getting the parcel picked up and they customer service people don't bother to read my queries as they keep replying with information that is only relevant to UK customers.
As I mentioned earlier I had followed their instructions when sending the parcel back so I feel it is their responsibility, but it looks like I have to pay for the return a second time and hope it will clear the Spanish custom if I stick the invoice on the parcel…”
“These scam artists are based in Spain but there is no attempt to tell you this when you buy from them. All the prices are in pounds. They charge shipping and "handling". But when you get the goods you are obliged to pay the VAT and a processing fee. I understand that we have left the EU and what that entails, but they make no attempt to tell you they are based overseas.”
“Do not ever do any business with Deporvillage. They are beyond negligent. After failing to pay the proper customs duties on an item I bought it was returned to them. And as for a refund? It's been months. Months of my sending emails to their customer service desk asking when this will be processed. And getting silence. They're a scam, in effect if not original intention. Avoid at all costs. They're criminally dishonest.”
“If it was possible I would give them 0 strs. I bought some cycling shoes. Paid £8.99 for Postage & delivery. The shoes were too tight. I followed their instructions to return the shoes ie : had to be at my own expense via DPD. I paid £8.99 for the return. That was weeks ago so I called back at last and Deporvillage told me that they hadn't got the shoes and that they could not refund because DPD hadn't given me a receipt. How did they know that? BTW it was true I had questioned the man who picked up the parcel but he said that receipt was not needed as he had a record of the transaction on his device. Very very suspicious!”
“They asked me to send them a copy of my passport for shipping. Who does this!? I suspected fraud. Called my credit card company and they have never heard of such a thing for merchandise. coming from abroad. They wouldn’t refund me the money for at least 20 days which is ridiculous. Filed a charge back and won.”
“As today I haven’t received my orders yet and all customers service can tell me is: “we’re looking into that”!
To add insult to injury, the web site updates the estimated date of arrival to the present-day, every day.
Muy malo, muy muy malo!”
“Bought Swissstop brake pads for carbon didn’t last 200 miles. Never had issues with same pads for last 3 sets. I presume not genuine? Customer services don’t want to know. First and last purchase for me, Oh and took 2 weeks to turn up shocking don’t bother”
“They sent me a used expensive helmet. The case is live in PayPal, they are ignoring the issue. the photographs clearly shows scratches, marks, someone tried to rub off something and made it worse. A top of the range MET help cost £212. Are you kidding me. Avoid. And the paperwork doesn't match the cost and o got another £39 charge from VAT even though an email said it should be zero VAT. I wished i had checked the reviews first. They send used stuff because people wont go through the hassle of claiming back the VAT from HMRC, i know this now. I see why the are ignoring the PAYPAL case and waiting for me to post the helmet back and take further money from me for postage instead of agreeing in writing not to deduct further. A waste of 10 days.”
“BUY WITH CAUTION: Deporville have laid out their website to disguise the fact that UK customers are liable for Import VAT.
This cost me £45.85 on top of the £212 I paid for a Giro bike hemet.
When you get to checkout it even says "this is the total you pay"
However - tucked away is a vague piece of info about subject to taxes applying in the destination country.
Having seen the reassuring "this is all you pay" message, I foolishly thought that message was telling me not to worry about the small print.
What they are doing appears to be legal - but it is also deliberately misleading.
When communicating with them they were certainly prompt in the reply - "the information is on our website and you have no right of redress"”
“DO NOT USE IF IN UK!
An absolute nightmare of a company to deal with, which is not helped from them being in SPAIN!
I had to return an £80 pair of shoes. Depor Village do not offer any returns service, so you need to do this yourself. It cost £20 to send the return. I followed all the correct processes, attached all the correct paperwork and have photo's to prove it. My package got to Spain, but Depor Village refused to accept the return. The package was returned to me 2 months later without even being opened. Disgrace of a company!”
“I ordered gym equipment just over 2 months ago. It should have been here 2 months yesterday. DeporVillage have ignored emails, been rude, unresponsive and are telling me i cannot get a refund until i receive the goods and go to the effort of sending them back myself. It is impossible to contact them and have one person reply to you to sort the issue. They have just ignored this issue for months and i am nearly €200 out of pocket with no sign of my order ever arriving. Says there is tracking but when i follow the link there is no order to be found.”
“Claimed warranty after the bike kept falling apart - the tires broke on day 3, after two rides. The bike pedals crank were completely worn out. All I've heard was 'go to a bike shop'. Outrageous. And had to pay fees to get it shipped to the UK - which I wasn't informed prior to shopping (which I'd have of course taken into account). Terrible service and poorly assembled bikes. Avoid!”
“Terrible. Wouldn’t honour a warranty and tried to accuse me of inappropriate use of a pair of trainers. Also tried to blame this on the manufacturer and lied... avoid...”
“If you’re buying from the UK BEWARE.
You will need to pay Import VAT, customs and probably a ‘clearance’ fee.
To get delivery I need to pay £60 on a £250 order.
They are certainly not making this clear!”
“Disgrace Do Not Use this company, its a month now since my order and I have not recieved my items. I have been told the delivery company has lost my item but Deporvillage is refusing to offer a refund or a replacement product until the delivery company find out what happened this process could take up to another 10 business days. Meanwhile I am out of pocket and have no product or a refund which I have requested now twice and cannot buy the same product somewhere else because my money is still with kept by DeporVillage.”
