Requested a refund at 20 days, they then send you around departments wasting your time.

I purchased an expensive coffee table and 2 sofas . The coffee table had large centre wheels and in the shop we felt despite the wheels the table was heavy and sturdy enough not to move. However on receipt we found that the slightest touch made the table move - this would be a danger when grandkids were in the house with hot drinks on the table. DFS point blank refused to give me a refund or even exchange saying I saw the product prior to purchase and that was their terms when buying in store!! Shocking service- i have purchased my last 3 sofas from there but they have lost a loyal customer all because they refused a refund for a £500 coffee table! Don’t shop at DFS Bham - store manager Sandy doesn’t know what customer service is!

He confirmed the delivery date of 20 December which was 7 weeks late (with no explanation or apology) and 17 weeks from the date of order! He refunded my delivery charge and assured us that he would personally phone us on the day of delivery to make sure that everything was okay.

Ordered couches 28/7/24 was told 8/10 weeks delivery Arrived 20/11 17 weeks later No communication from DFS at all during this period I had to continually phone them Excuses after excuses not their fault distribution’s fault Delayed coming from CHINA Asked to be put through to Head Office but only got as far as Manager from Stirling Scotland store ?? When my couches finally on route to my house I asked for a goodwill gesture after everything to be told it was not their fault it was distribution’s fault But then said they would refund delivery charge WOW I wish I had never choose DFS to buy my Couches from I will never buy from them again and I will never recommend them to anyone Jacqueline Easton

I contacted DFS regarding my delivery date because it is scheduled for when I am away and told I have to wait for a call in 72 hours (like we can stay near a phone for 72 hours) then I had a lamp delivered that was damaged and attempted to try and get a refund but you can’t ring anyone or request a return and the chat team tells you you have to wait 72 hours (another 72 hours) for a phone call to arrange return.

DFS need to spend less money on TV adverts and more on their customers care and quality of sofas Mine was made in Poland and after a few weeks it was not wearing well given I love alone however, after having 3 different men sent by DFS a complaint that was viewed by the ombudsman and went in their favour I issued small claims court papers and was given a full refund the following week so that was £115 court fee well spent and it was refunded by DFS I don't know who made their sofas 15 yrs ago however, they need to review the standards of the manufacturer and change quickly I ended up going to lebus in Scunthorpe and have to say they were fab less than half the price of DFS delivery was the same day
