"**DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CONMEN -PRITESH VEGAD, AMIT CHOHAN - SAPPHIRE & CO UK t\/a Diamond Boutique (and whatever they call their business next). My partner purchased a tanzanite and diamond platinum engagement ring from Diamond Boutique (DB) in December 2021 and he proposed to me in March 2022. Diamond Boutique is the trading name for Sapphire & Co UK Ltd (11000344). In August 2022 I noticed that the ring was misshapen and a diamond had fallen out. We spoke to Pritish at DB and he asked us to return the ring for 'inspection' via Royal Mail Special Delivery. The ring was delivered the next day, however DB insisted they had never received it. Months of stressful discussions continued and it was only when I contacted the local press that DB agreed to replace the ring. I finally received a 2nd ring on 24th November 2022. On 24th December 2022 I noticed that a diamond had fallen out and it was misshapen again. By 26th December 3 diamonds had fallen out and the ring was so misshapen I could barely get it off my finger - it hurt to do so. Again, Pritesh asked us to return the ring and he would 'investigate' it. I met Pritesh in London to hand over the ring personally. After weeks of 'investigation' Pritesh offered the solution that the ring be re-set in white gold, as it is a harder (if cheaper) metal than platinum.Although not ideal, we agreed to this in order to just have an engagement ring that lasted. The new ring finally arrived on Thursday 23rd March 2023 and by Tuesday 27th March not only had a diamond fallen out but the whole 'crown' of the ring where the tanzanite is set, had snapped clean off. I contacted Pritesh the next morning to explain and ask for a full refund as, 3 rings later, and it is clear that all products were fit for purpose under the Consumer Act and we are entitled to a 'no-quibble' refund by 22nd April 2023 for this latest ring. Regardless, none of the rings have been fit for purpose and all of unsatisfactory quality for a ring that cost \u00a36000 and is supposed to last a lifetime. It took Pritesh 4 days to reply and when he did, his response was, to paraphrase; \"How unusual. I have some sad news, we are closing the business, we are taking no more orders. End of the Road, All the Best\". I have cited the Customer Act to him, told him that we want a refund and I have recieved no further responses. I have been researching the business online and it would appear that Pritesh and the other Directors have a long history of selling faulty jewellery and then closing the current business, only to start another one and do the same again. Purchasing from this company has completely ruined the experience of getting engaged for us, caused us huge amounts of stress and upset and has resulted in us having to cancel our wedding venue because it feels wrong to organise a wedding when we haven't even got the engagement ring. This has incurred extra costs on top of the loss of \u00a36000 for the ring. These men need to be stopped before someone else gets hurt the way we have."
