Returns - Difficult

30 day return policy is terrible. I was buying a dress for son’s wedding. I tried it on, it was too big, I didn’t get it sent back until about 40 days after purchase. I did not realize the short turn around for returns, which is on me, but it is a ridiculous time period. I will never spend another dollar at Dillards.

The dress was on my doorstep today with a note saying no returns after 30 days.

The 30-day return policy is my major complaint, especially when you have to pay shipping charges to return items via mail. Nordstrom has free shipping for purchases and returns and no strict return date. The merchandise is similar.

She told me that Dillard’s policy requires that they hold all returns in the back for 24 hours before they put them back on the floor.

They spend more time telling you what they can’t do, we don’t take returns or do exchanges on items reduced by 65% returns, we don’t do price adjustments, we don’t do competitor pricing adjustments.

No returns for Christmas present even with receipt. Punishes early shoppers!

) I paid for the purchase anyway, and when I got home I look at the receipt and did not see anything on it, nor anything stamped on it that said NO RETURNS.
