“Made a booking, paid an insurance in case of cancellation or amendment. Changed the date, then was asked for an extra £51.75. I went direct to the ferry company and was given a price approximately the same minus the £51.75! What’s the point of the insurance?”
“No phone number to three days to respond to my email I gave them a wrong email address but but corrected it my sending the correct email address but took them 3 days to respond. Don’t give someone your money if you can’t communicate with them. I will never use them again.”

To best honest I’m very disappointed with this situation, as you can see in my Attachment document, I booked my trip in 17 August 2023 and then suddenly my trip got cancel due to online technical issue and unable to confirm the booking. I already speak with few of Your CS at first he said the money will be refunded 3-5 days and I wait for 1 weeks and I checked with my bank account and there’s not I got from you, 2nd CS says you guys haven’t sent the money and I have to wait for another 10 days and until now which I wait for almost 1 month and half, I haven’t get any refund from you ( I already Checked to my bank account, they haven’t get anything from you ) does anyone can help me to refund the money. I really need it for support my family.

“we booked our return ticket for Las Palmas - Tenerife connection. The service provider was ARMAS. According to the given port location by Directferries, we could not find the ferry location though we were in the port 1h before departure. We had to walk to few locations without success. When we were on the return journey, we realized that there is a shuttle service from city to ferry in Las Palmas. Such information needs to be provided to customer while buying the ticket.
So, for the outbound journey, we had to buy another ticket, from another service, costing another Euro 100.
When we informed this situation to Directferry after our journey. They said that we should have contacted the service provider. If Directferry sales tickets, they should take the responsibility to provide the correct location to customers. It is not understandable, why they mentioned to contact service provider. Based on this experience, I will never buy ticket through Directferry, but first search the local ferry operators, and get the ticket and other relevant information. Also, we found that the other operator provides a good customer service compared to the one with Directferry.”
“shocking experience trying to amend a booking with Direct Ferries for which I had paid an additional £30 to have the right to cancel. It was a complete rip off, and Direct Ferries were unhelpful - their customer service centre use email, so they deliberately ruin your holiday by making trying to change anything as drawn out and painful as possible
My advice - go directly to the ferry operator - as well as it being cheaper, it would be difficult ot get worse service!”
“Sólo 1 vez y no más , en general dentro del barco no es como lo ponen en las recesiones, limpieza raya lo moral, y dentro del barco, pues eso para una travesía corta puede pasar. El problema es la poca cara dura Italiana, que la verdad es que no sabes si llegaras a puerto o cuando. Retrasos en todos sus barcos ( siempre!! Hablamos con varias personas que hacían el trayecto 1 o 2 veces por año) y la tripulación no informa de nada, los retrasos siempre los justifican por causas marinas medioambientales, por lo que las reclamaciones no servirán para nada. En fin, si es la última opción,bien..si no mejor hacer 2000km con el coche”

“I asked a change in my ticket, they made me pay an extra money for the inconvenience. I made it and now o don’t have neither the first ticket nor the last one. They didn’t help me during the process and the comunication was almost 0.

“We booked round trip ferries from Māori to Capri. Due to illness we had to move our reservation within 48 hours. We started trying to contact you 14 hours before departure and could not get any response. We missed our ferry the next morning. When I finally got though on the chat line and wanted to re-schedule I was told I could only reschedule my return and that I had to buy new ticket for the outbound. Even though I tried to reach direct ferries well in advance to request a change. I rescheduled my return and purchased new outbound tickets. I then never received new PDF documents reflecting the return change. I kept being sent pdf documents with my original return date. It took me four different online chats totaling almost 10 hours to finally get an online agent to send me the correct return pdf showing the correct return date. I am shocked by what it took me to just move a trip because of illness not to mention that I had to pay twice for 2 tickets because I could not reach anyone at your company. As a professional advertising person I plan on posting this horrible experience on every travel and review site. You should be ashamed

“Appalling customer service from Direct Ferries. There is no mobile number, and an extremely slow response time via their enquiry form.
I had changed my booking to a new date and time, received an email confirmation from Direct Ferries and the booking had amended via the website. What Direct Ferries failed to do was contact Brittany Ferries to inform them of the change. I had arrived at the Port for an overnight ferry with 2 children and NO booking. Outrageous!
I then had to pay extra to even get onto the ferry, without a cabin may I add, which I had originally booked and paid for through Direct Ferries.
The service from the beginning was awful, and I strongly advise to NOT use Direct Ferries, I will never use their service EVER again!”
