“Got an old berkley and needed to replace the filters, also got a pack of 4 blanking plates, as my old ones seemed loose. much slower to filter through now the filters do not come with blanking grommetts and they are needed”

There could be a few reasons for this: New Filter Break-In: Brand new filters can sometimes take a little while (usually a few hours) to reach their optimal flow rate. Air in the System: After replacing the filters, there might be air trapped in the system slowing the initial filtration. Try priming the filters by running clean water through them for a few minutes without the top chamber attached. Incorrect Filter Placement: Double-check that the new filters are positioned correctly within the chamber. If the slow flow rate persists after trying these steps, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team directly. We'd be happy to troubleshoot further and ensure your Berkefeld system is functioning optimally. On a separate note, you're absolutely right – blanking grommets are indeed essential for unused filter chambers to maintain proper filtration efficiency. “Could not fault prompt delivery. I made trhe mistake of ordering previously through Amazon and received one incorrect item. Unfortunately I held it in reserve (not realising it was incorrect) and when I came to use it, it was too late to return it. Lessomn- deal direct.”
