I only wanted 1 litre of paint and she explained the current process (lockdown) and I ended up with my paint in less than 10 minutes, mixed and collected from another polite member of staff. I order the correct amount of rolls of paper needed based on the pattern match information, but this was wrong and was no where near the length it said, so I had extra rolls and they don’t accept returns. They didn’t tell me that when I ordered and at over £40 a roll it’s a lot of money.”
“In the middle of a stressful house move, I had a truly awful experience at the Paignton Dulux Decorator Centre due to the way I was treated by an assistant who was rude and unpleasant. It seemed she didn't like me but even if she didn't, there was no need to be so nasty, and it was so unprofessional. I found it very upsetting and will not go back there again.”
“Don't expect a warm retail experience. It's industrial/ trade focussed.
First hurdle is getting someone to acknowledge your presence.
Second is keeping their attention once you get someone.
Third is having an intelligible dialogue with anyone.
Product is good but expensive if you're retail.

“Service was ok but paint was £10+ more expensive on a 5 litre tin than B & Q. Unfortunately I had already purchased and no refund policy in place as they mixed it on the day. It was on the shelf at B & Q as quite a neutral colour.”
