“I love the home, but that doesn’t come without flaws however. I was most displeased with the fact that carpet was installed way to early and therefore the quality of all the carpet in the house has been diminished by obvious wear. You can easily tell that workers were wearing shoes/boots inside anytime they had to do work on the walls, painting, etc. The fibers are matted down and even drywall plaster, spackle can still be found in the carpet today. There was two spots on the carpet where it appears a space heater was used and it melted the fibers of the carpet. It would also have helped to shampoo the carpet before handing the keys to owners because of this issue.
I also had issues with not having repairs made in the home that was either caused by poor workmanship or less than quality cabinetry. I had specifically requested two drawer faces to be replaced at least 1 month before closing and this never happened. I actually had to wait over a week after closing to have this done.
Lastly, the cleaning crew overlooked areas in the kitchen (sticky residue on cabinet surfaces) and along the baseboard where drywall dust was still present.
I understand my home was one of many that were set to close on the same day as others, but quality over quantity is extremely important.
Furthermore, I would suggest sodding the entire yard, it doesn’t make sense to sod to the rear of the home and then stop, thus forcing a new homeowner to pay more money to have grass in the backyard. It takes away from the joy of enjoying the home in its entirety, inside and out.
Thanks for your attention. I love the home, but things like these need to be addressed.”
“This is our first home and I am very glad that I chose Eastwood homes. I am more than happy with the product that I have received. The level of professionalism ranging from the sales agent to the mortgage lender, and the builder were beyond my expectations. The whole process from start to finish was smoother than I had expected. We are loving our home and plan to make many memories for the future.”
“Working with Eastwood was a great experience from the very start. Our new home specialist, Nate, provided great service and kept us updated on a weekly basis. We never had any issues throughout the building process. Near the end, Jeff took great care of us and helped us get to closing quickly. We love our new home and glad that we went with Eastwood”
“The whole process are stress free and much easier than expected. I loved working with everyone involved, especially James and Jennifer. Whenever I had a question or concern, they answered or fixed it in a timely manner. They were very easy to work with and always in high spirits.”
“We were very satisfied with the home purchasing process Eastwood Homes provided. The home is beautiful and the quality of work looks very good. Randi and John were both extremely helpful and receptive to our needs. We still have some issues with kitchen cabinets and some repairs which are still pending. Would appreciate to have these expedited so we can have the repairs completed. One aspect of the process which we did not agree with is; when we performed our final walk-through before closure date, my expectation was to find little things which needed repairs, though some repairs were very obvious, such as kitchen cabinet cracks, drawers not closing properly, microwave/oven not set in cabinets properly, etc.. To us, these should be considered obvious observations which should have been noticed, tested by the installers then repaired before our walk-through. I'm not sure how your quality control processes work with your sub-contractors, but it appears they should provide better quality before my final sign-off. Thank you. Vincent Vono”
“Every house has some problems here and there, but it's about getting the problems fixed, and Eastwood homes was able to fix everything, so I am satisfied with the overall experience.”
“My Eastwood experience started out great! I had a wonderful sales agent named Colton Sibley. He did a great job. Before i moved in and now that i am in there are so many things wrong with my home. The builder agreed that the drywall was very poorly done. The paint was poorly done. My house was not properly cleaned prior to move in. There was dust everywhere. My walls are not even with the drywall, i didn't have knobs on one of the bedrooms closet. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!”
“Lots of good things. Personal are great and knowledgeable about product.
A few things could be better, like in the Caldwell unit the attic above the garage have the floor joist framed with 2 by fours, this should have been done with 2 by sixes to support a load bearing floor for storage. This makes it look like you took the cheap way out or route here, (2) the pull down attic stairs should not be in the master closet, this is poor planning, these stairs should have been put in the garage ceiling..!! (3)the blinds over the patio door were installed with not enough floor clearance, blinds would not close over a throw rug, the middle bracket had no lag screw anchors, I had to take the whole system down and re-install it for floor clearance, (4) the dryer exhaust box or panel was installed to far back into the wall with a 1" gap between it and the Sheetrock, this has been reported and hopefully will be fixed in the future.
Enjoying the house, things could always be better

“I love my home ., but did not like buying the humidifier and having to set up . I think the humidifier should have been something I could have purchase at the design center and it would have already been at the home”
“I love my Eastwood home spealist Shannon and David were both awesome. Jimmy was also great during the process. They all kept me well informed and follow up on all details of my home. The loan process was stressful but the building process was great.”
“Great 1st home buying experience. Harry, David, & our realtor Temaria were all great. Everyone was very knowledgeable and informative. Ready and willing to answer any questions no matter how minute with no hesitation or frustrations. Our process was easy and worry free. WE LOVE OUR PIN OAK!!”
“Poor customer service, no homeowners follow up, extremely hard to contact. The warranty service is too bad, they will send you a survey email, unless you do the survey and rate them good or better you won't get your home warranty. Folks take care about this company, I'm a homeowner with a very disaponinting experience, this a not a fake review.”
