“Process of offer negotiations, repairs, and closing went pretty smoothly for the most part.
Staff was very friendly and reasonable. House quality is excellent.”
“The home we chose was a model already under construction, so we weren't able to choose any options. We like the options chosen overall. The plans we were given showed the stairs made of wood. They carpeted instead. The builder credited is the cost to do it, which is fine. I just would've preferred not to have a contractor do it after the fact. We've only been in the home 3 days, but are loving it so far.
My wife didn't like the guy doing the walkthrough because he was irritated with her, the realtor and my mother in law. Travis was great. The women were busy talking about decorating so he was understandably annoyed when they asked questions on things he already explained. I only bring this up because she filled out the review at the closing and of she gave him a negative review, it was unwarranted.”
“We are challenged in writing this review, because we have conflicting feelings about our new home buying experience. While there are many aspects of our new home that we love, there are clearly some areas that have been a disappointment. We were promised prior to closing that many items had been completed and in good faith, we closed early as we were told that Eastwood did not want to incur carrying costs on the home. Sadly, that good faith was not returned by Eastwood Homes.
Here is a current list of all the outstanding warranty items
1. Wrong faucet in kitchen – based on the price charged, our current faucet does not meet the contract standard
2. There is damage to the attic stair pull down door prior to closing. This needs to be replaced.
3. 4 kitchen cabinets were badly scratched prior to closing and need to be replaced.
4. Replace 2 subway tiles on backsplash above short counter.
5. Garage door has multiple issues. The top two panels have a significant gap between them even when the door is fully closed. In addition, there are dents on the door, most significantly is the large one on the panel where the lock is. Overhead door was at the house on Monday 4/16 to inspect. James Ehrie (864) 277-9460 performed the inspection. A”
“We love our new home that Eastwood Homes built us. The process was pretty quick and fairly easy to navigate. They worked with us every step of the way. The craftsmanship is amazing and the attention to detail is top notch. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
“Overall I had a good experience. As a first time homeowner there were a few minor things that I wish I would’ve noticed before closing such as the front door lock not aligned and the fridge not installed properly but other than that all went well.”
“Everything about my experience with purchasing a Eastwood Home was amazing, the staff members were all great, the only problems I had were at closing and finalizing my contract. The lawyers that Eastwood Homes used at closing are the worst I have ever worked with, they made a mistake with sending out a payout and tried to blame me for the mistake, along with unprofessional name calling. At the time I wrote out my contract I felt as if I was being penalized because I did not use Eastwood Homes preferred lenders, I know if you use them you are offered certain things, but don't make the customer feel pressured because they have been preapproval with a different lender, they actually took a few things off of my contract that was originally offered because I was not using their lenders. But overall, from the builders, administration staff, and the sales woman at Parkview Estates everyone was amazing and it minimized the awful experience I had with writing the contract and at closing. I would still recommend them to anybody, its a great place to live!!!”
“Eastwood has been really good and transparent throughout the home buying. They made the process so easy and simple. Eastwood employees that we were working with are very responsible and responsive at all times. They make sure that they are available for you every step of the way. The quality and workmanship of the house is very good as well.”
“I enjoyed quite a bit of the process of moving in. I have also enjoyed dealing with everyone involved on the Eastwood side. I live in a community that is still being built while people are currently living in the completed homes. I was rather surprised to wake up a few mornings to see the labor workers leaving trash where they work. This would not be a problem if they would clean up at the end of every shift. Also be mindful of people already living in homes that were completed already.”
“We have had a great experience thus far! Chris the the builder has been very wonderful, and always very assertive and helpful if ever we need him. So far, the experience has been great!”
“Our construction was running nearly 3 weeks behind schedule. We desperately needed to close that gap to avoid a double move. Our construction manager was able to reduce the delay enough to squeeze us into the needed timeframe and close the gap to 2 weeks and we avoided a costly double move.”
