“I'd like to query my account as I receive sms's informing me my account is in arrears, and I've been paying through eft. Phoning proved waste of time as I'm being transferred from one dept to another. I registered on the app hoping to get assistance - what a useless app. I'm sitting with a problem that can solved in minutes. Edgars is useless when it comes to communication.”
“I bought jeans that unfortunately were a small cut. For some reason, the tag came off while I was fitting the jeans, I showed the tag to Kribashnee who was assisting with the return on email. I haven't heard from her since then, all I wanted was a swap out for the size that fits..Worst service ever!!”
“This is absolutely the WORST company I have ever had to deal with.
I had an account with them for more than 10 years and I was an exemplary customer and always paid my account on time.
I had taken out a few of the insurance packages on my account one of which covered retrenchment. Needles to say that after paying this for so many years, I was retrenched in 2020 and contacted Edgars immediately to notify them of this. I continued paying the insurance fees every month for about 6 months (as it was the only thing I owed) but they never got back to me regarding putting my account on hold or closing the account.
I had run out of money and was unable to continue paying the monthly fees but Edgars just kept giving me the run around about this so with their obscene interest fees thrown on top I now owed them thousands and yet they STILL refused to take responsibility for their mistake. When their debt collectors contacted me, I made arrangements with them to make monthly payments which would clear my credit record while I continued to look for permanent employment.
I made my last payment October 2021, received confirmation from both the agency and Edgars that this was completed and I had my account closed.
It is not a year later and my credit record is STILL being affected because Edgars is still sending their creditors to collect money I do not owe them.
They are the absolute worst and have TERRIBLE customer service!
