“Clean, nicely decorated and homely flat situated just minutes from shops/pubs/takeaways. The bus stop is also just at the end of the road so ideal for travelling into the city. Would stay here again.”
“A great apartment, large living space for 4 people, nice walk into town, clean with good range of appliances, cookware and good size bathroom, would stay again. Thanks”
“Lovely flat with great view. Well maintained and good provision of essentials (except toast rack - why do letters of flats never provide this??). Will definitely consider staying here again.”
“Very comfortable accommodation with good facilities. Lack of a blind on the velux in the twin room was the only problem (see earlier review), although the children put up a blanket which solved that for our stay. A fuse went while we were there and that was sorted out immediately by the friendly and helpful owners. You are provided with milk, biscuits, tea bags etc, plus a bottle of wine, which is very welcome if you want to take a break after a long drive getting there. Parking on the street is also straightforward.
The city is within walking distance (if you have more time try the attractive river 'Waters of Leith Walk') and the buses were also very convenient and easy.”
“I don't usually take the time to write a review, but I really wanted to let people know how good 3 Randolph Crescent is:
- Fantastic central location
- Lovely friendly and helpful landlady
- Beautifully decorated and furnished
- Well equipped
- Very reasonably priced
I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to any large group of people coming to stay in Edinburgh for a City Break.”
“I rented this flat for a period of two weeks. This is an excellent flat for elderly and people with restricted mobility. My dad uses a wheel chair because of a back problem so it was very convenient for us renting this flat which has a quick access to the building entrance. The flat has plenty of space in the living room which was excellent because we had people coming over all time. The flat has plenty of cuttlery, and electronic appliances so there is no need to bring stuff with you when you move in. The flat is in excellent condition and the neighborhood is very nice. Excellent location from city centre, train station, supermarkets and shops. I highly recommend it.”
“Pros: Very modern, 9th floor flat with superb views. All mod cons esp the Freeview HD TV. Spacious and secure.
Handy for the no 35 bus from the airport (only £1.40 fare)
Cons: No air conditioning and the blinds are not blackout types in the bedrooms- wouldn't fancy a summer sleeps here!
The wifi wasn't working for most of our stay which a nuisance ( it was a prerequiste of our booking)”
“What a wonderful stay we had in this spacious apartment when visiting the Edinburgh Fringe 2012. It had the wow factor from the moment we stepped up to the door. Part of a stunning historic terrace. A simple bus or cab ride into town. Beautifully furnished, quiet, comfortable and with added benefits for a homely stay. Lovely Teresa gave us a warm welcome. Highly recommended - we'll come again.”
“When seeking an apartment you can feel at home in with a well-equipped kitchen and a good-quality bed (which is as far as we are concerned no luxury as my husband is a back pain sufferer), and a good location both for exploring the city (and beyond) and to do some shopping (which is essential when staying in a self-catering flat) ... Seek no more, you have just found it! And its owners will do their utmost to make your stay a comfortable one ... That is what we found out as well !”
“excellent flat. clean, warm well presented. very easy to get around with good local shops. town centre and attractions short bus tide (we bought daily travel as much as you want tickets). don't take car into town - parking is a nightmare. landlords very helpful and friendly. would highly recommend.”
“This flat actually turned out to be much better than expected. We arrived in a very wet Edinburgh from sunny Moscow but the weather could not disappoint. A really lovely and cosy flat with such a great view out the huge windows onto Holyrood Park.
Location is good too. A nice shopping centre and excellent Sainsburys is only 5 minutes walk away and it's only a 15 minute walk and you're at the east end of Edinburgh's main street, Princes Street.
Would definitely recommend this apartment to everyone considering a holiday in Edinburgh”
“Wow what a beautifully decorated flat in an awesome area. The only downfall is the street is opposite some pubs so it was noisy, but we ended up falling asleep easily! Sean couldn't have been more helpful! I would highly recommend this place.”
“The flat was delightful, in a very convenient location and provided everything we needed at a competitive cost. It was very useful to have the parking space as well. The flat felt a little damp initially but the heaters were remarkably efficient and we had no problems after they had kicked in for the first time. Similarly, our hearts sank at the mention of an immersion heater for hot water but it povided all the hot water we needed with no problems. The flat was clean and comfortable and we would definitely recommend it and use it again.”
“My husband and I stayed at this apartment for 5 nights with our 2 small children (1 and 2 years old). It was an ideal place to stay and provided a lot of room for the whole family. The owners were lovely and were always quick to reply to queries during the booking stage as well as during our stay. The apartment was very well equipped and the small touches of flowers on the table, hand wash and lotion, coffee etc made us feel very welcome. The car parking facility was very convenient and the apartment was walking distance to restaurants and a Tesco express supermarket. We very much enjoyed the Italian restaurant 'Vittoria' recommended to us by the owners. We would definitely recommend this apartment.”
“We liked the flat it was walking distance from sightseeing opportunities, shops, restaurants, bus and train services. The flat was modern, comfortable and well equipped, We realy enjoyed our stay.”
“The flat was excellent. Everything was finished to a high standard and was well thought out. When I had a minor problem with the wireless both the property manager and owner were extremely responsive. I can't recommend this apartment highly enough for a single person or couple looking for a base from which they can explore Edinburgh and the surrounding area.”
“Young people everywhere - just great! Coffee shop downstairs, Sainsburys on our doorstep and the National Museum of Scotland only a stone's throw away. Flat is clean and has everything you need. Our kids loved it.”
