“Perfect for a short stay in Edinburgh, central location meant we could walk everywhere and very little time was wasted travelling. Flat was well furnished and had everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the wifi - a home away from home!”
“A very spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated apartment. Obviously in a re-development area of Leith currently with building nearby but this did not cause us any problems. Short walk to all the fantastic bars and restaurants of which there is a fabulous choice to suit everyone. would not hesitate to recommend or return.”
“This apt was 2 mins from the Royal Mile, it had everything you need and was very clean, the owner was very friendly and helpful. You can get a bit of noise due to the location but it's a small price to pay and free parking for one car is included.”
“The apartment was like a home away from home, comfortable and welcoming with a fabulous location. We hope to get back again soon and we'll definitely be recommending to our friends.”
“This is our 3rd time staying in this flat. Our Son and his partner live nearby so it is very conveneent for us.
It has an excellent bus service into town served by a number of buses. Morningside itself is a very good area with some lovely shops and restaraunts and coffee shops a small cinema and a beautiful park area nearby.
The flat itself is very comfortable although its kitchen equipment could do with an update. all in all we will certainly use this flat again.”
“The flat is comfortable and has everything you may need for a home away from home while in Edinburgh. Even better, the flat is wonderfully located walking distance from Princes Street and the Old Town but is on a quiet street - so you can also relax easily if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.”
“Great flat in superb central location. Beautifully done & cosy with stunning view down the Grassmarket. Not for old folk tho as spiral staircase up tenament”
“I had a lovely stay in this flat, it was clean and beautifully kept. I was in Edinburgh for a conference and the flat was in a great location. It is also worth saying that I felt very safe staying there on my own. Thanks!”
“This spacious flat is situated in a very quiet residential neighbourhood with very short distances to Princess street and other city centre attractions. Overall, a very safe location which is ideal for families. There was a slight problem with the cold water tap in the kitchen needing a repair. Overall, very welcoming and flexible to our needs-really enjoyed our stay, many thanks.”

Local bus service no:(22)on door step every ten mins: into Edinburgh £1.40 however many stops...have the right change as no change given! Taxi service on bridge next to flat approx: £6.00 into Edinburgh. Local supermarket two min: walk...also Royal Yatch Brittania ten min: walk...recommend this apartment as would use again myself.....Hennie”
“We booked the apartment for a conference followed by a birthday weekend and it worked perfectly. The apartment is beautiful: huge rooms, gorgeous period details and well furnished. Having two bathrooms was very useful. I love the Scottish Colourists so the prints added to the attractiveness of the place. The Welcome basket was very, erm, welcome! Also appreciated simple things like pepper mill and decent knives. Location is great, close to Stockbridge, easy walk to Princes St, Waters of Leith five minutes away. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment and suspect all the others in the building are equally good.”
“We loved our week at Timber Bush and would thoroughly recommend this accommodation. Margaret and Bill have thought of every comfort and we instantly felt right at home. We arrived late in the evening to find the central heating on for us so the house was lovely and cosy, and there was a very welcome bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. The lounge/dining room is comfortable and spacious, all beautifully decorated. We loved the kitchen - especially the dishwasher - a welcome addition as we were entertaining friends and family during our week's stay - who wants to waste time washing dishes on holiday?! Lovely comfy beds and good quality linens and bedding. As far as location goes Timber Bush is hard to beat - seconds walk from Sainsburys Local and Newsagents, countless bars, restaurants, bus stop for town. We can recommend King's Wark Pub and Mimi's Bakehouse to name only two. Thanks to its courtyard location Timber Bush is a haven of peace and quiet when you come inside and close the door despite this all being on your doorstep. 10 out of 10!”
“Loved staying in this flat - it's spacious, immaculately clean, nicely decorated, only 10 mins by bus into Princes Street and the Castle (buses are frequent). It's also fully stocked with basic necessities like coffee, tea, salt, pepper, cereal, shampoo, soap, hair dryer etc, plus some complimentary muffins and milk. We visited in October and the heating worked well, making it a very warm flat.
It's on the third floor, so quite a few stairs, but was very managable (and good exercise!). We didn't find it too much at all.
The owner, Derek, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful... a delightful man who went out of his way to help us.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.”
“Beautiful house in a great location. Great size, plenty of room for the 10 of us and a bonus that each bedroom had its own ensuite. Definitely like to return one day. Would recommend to anyone!”
“I've now stayed in this property on two occasions. Really convenient/central location. Very clean with plenty useful amenities in the flat. Rooms aren't massive but ideal for a short break with a family (as we were) or group of friends.”
