“Fabulous city apartment which is ideally situated on a quiet street running parallel with the main road which leads to Princes St. & the Waverley Station (approx 10 mins walk away). A supermarket, restaurants, & bus stop from which a very regular service runs to Princes St & Leith are 1-2 mins walk away & the University it's close by,. Parking is provided via an electronically controlled entry gate for added security. The apartment is very well appointed, extremely comfortable & furnished to a high standard
. We highly reccommend this apartment, having stayed there several times”
“This Apartment is a little gem, recently stayed there for a weekend with my family (5 Adults and a baby) and I have to say it totally exceeded all my expectations.
It's situated in the perfect location for exploring the City/Castle and other tourist bits, with the added bonus of being surrounded by good restaurants and pubs.
The Apartment itself was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. All in all we had a fantastic weekend in Edinburgh and staying at this place played a large part in helping us achieve that.”
“We were delighted with both the flat and its location.
The flat is warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
There was an excellent welcome pack of milk ,butter, bread etc. the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of plates and cutlery and all you would need. There is also a splendid garden by the river.
Dean Village is a real secret haven, only yards from the bustle of the city. It is not only a delightful spot in itself but an ideal base for exploring the city.
We were delighted with it.”
“3 of us stayed at this flat for 3 nights and were incredibly pleased with our stay. The flat was spacious, incredibly clean and tidy and very comfortable. We couldn't have asked for more and I would thoroughly recommend it.”
“Thank you for making our stay in Edinburgh so memorable and enjoyable. A really nice flat with a great location. Accommodating and friendly service. Highly recommended.”
“The flat was great, large enough for 8 adults and really convenient for the city centre. The owner was very helpful, giving us all the information we need and answering our questions very promptly.”
“Beautiful flat -- really nicely appointed. Great central location. Made to feel welcome and looked after. Highly recommended for exploring the beautiful city of Edinburgh”
“Really enjoyed our stay in the flat. The location was perfect with supermarket within walking distance and lots of place to eat nearby. Particularly enjoyed use of the gym. Free parking was a bonus.”
“We were 4 adults and 2 kids (age 2.5 and 10). We stayed in this extremely comfortable and spacious flat for 4 nights and 5 days. It was central enough to go walking to the Princes Street and far enough to avoid the crowd. The flat was beautifully decorated and catered to all our needs. Plus it was very reasonably priced. We all loved it :)”
“This flat has a lot going for it in terms of architectural style and location (Stockbridge is lovely and just far enough from the crowds to feel homey), the private garden is perfect if you are traveling with kids, and the price was better than most of the comparable flats we looked at. However, it could use some updating in terms of carpeting, wall coverings, cabinetry, etc. I would not say it was dirty, but given its age it did not feel clean either; surfaces and edges were dusty and worn. Also, just about every available surface was covered in vases, figurines and knick-knacks, which made it especially challenging for us to contain our 2-year-old. I'm not sure if the owners spends lots of time here (and no offense intended), but as a rental property this miscellany only detracts from its usability. Lastly, the current system for Internet access is next to useless: you cannot use your own device but the netbook provided is old, slow and unstable. Plan on using your own cellular data coverage or visitng nearby cafes with wifi. The owners should consider buying a simple wifi hotspot instead. All that said, it is perfectly livable, somewhat quirky flat, the service was excellent and the price was great.”
“My 2 daughters and I enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Spittal St apt. We found it exactly as described and pictured. Yes, there are 3 floors of spiral staircase to climb and the entry seems a bit dodgy at first, but the apt is very comfortable and clean. The location is very close to the castle and Royal Mile and there are food shops and restaurants all around. The toilet room is small, so if you are tall it will be a squeeze, but nice to have it seperate from the shower when sharing the apt with others. Wifi worked great. We were there over a weekend and people were loud on the street, but the bedrooms are in back and quiet. The only thing we would have liked is a clothes dryer- there is a washing machine. We did a load of laundry, but getting it dry took awhile. We would absolutely stay again.”
“A group of 7 of us stayed for a long weekend and the flat was just what we needed. Simple, clean and in close proximity to everything we wanted to see. Just a 15 min stroll to Princes St and 20 mins to the Royal Mile. Cabs were easily ordered for when we were feeling lazy and also very respectable pricewise. Plenty of local pubs and restaurants nearby too serving some great food (Have to recommend Chop Chop chinese restaurant - was absolutely fantastic and 5 mins walk from the flat). All in all a great little place to stay for such a good price. Would highly recommend.”
“We enjoyed our short stay in this lovely apartment whilst attending a family celebration. The apartment was spotless and well equipped and we found it very comfortable. We would have loved to have stayed longer.”
“Would definitely stay again! Clean, spacious and plenty natural light gets in. So central and parking was a bonus! Double bedroom could do with a bit of TLC (a lick of paint) but all in all, very comfortable!”
“I loved this apartment...it was well kept and all the rooms were self sufficient. We were 5 adults and one infant. The landlord provided travel cot and high chair as well. They were flexible and understanding.Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Edingburgh in a holiday apartment.Great value for money!”
“We were newcomers to Edinburgh and we totally lucked out with this apartment. It's in the perfect location, right in the center of the city. We couldn't have been happier. Highly recommended!”
“Very pleasant welcome from owner. Flat has all the necessary requirements for a comfortable stay in Edinburgh. However it was only upon arrival I was informed it was a student let during the year. This was evident in the tired decor + uncomfortable beds. Convenient to shop, 10 min walk to airport bus.”
