“Accommodation was good & well located to see super Edinburgh sites however extremely noisy on all 3 nights of our stay. Owner, Sean, was very helpful & arranging our stay was easy to do. Many thanks for use of flat.”
“Arranging meeting the greeter was very easy. The greeter was extremely helpful and friendly. The flat is absolutely lovely- I would recommend it to anyone any time.”
“Really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated flat. Even better was, after a long journey to Edinburgh, discovering all the treats that were left in the fridge for us. Great base for exploring the city.”
“This was a perfect place for my family to stay while visiting Edinburgh! It is conveniently located right off the West End of Princes Street and it was perfect for everything they did. The kitchen was even stocked with basics like milk and eggs for their arrival, speaking of which, the owner was kind enough to meet my friend to have him pick up the keys for the family while I was away on business. It's the kind of flat I would like to own and live in myself.”
“We stayed a week at this beautifully presented apartment, which was exceptional in everyway, the beds were so comfortable and truly needed after a days walking. All the rooms were very comfortable, and the kitchen provided everything needed whether wanting to cook a snack or a full meal. It is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in. The opportunity for each bedroom to have its own bathroom/en-suite made it easier for all of us. The apartment provided everything, and truly felt home from home, we used the apartment as a base to see the sites of Edinburgh, everything was within walking distance - shopping, visitor sites, restaurants, railway, it truly was an excellent base, and we highly recommend this apartment.”
“Large and spacious, tastefully decorated with quality furnishings. Excellent location for exploring Edinburgh on foot. We had a fantastic stay here (family of 5) and will definitely be returning.”
“I loved this flat. It's very close to the Arthur's seat which gives some stunning view of the city from the top. The Portebello beach is also very close by(apprx. 1.5km).It's an ideal location for those who love nature and serenity. There are many super markets(eg. Sainsbury) just a few minutes of walk away which is ideal for an holiday apartment. However, it's a bit away from the castle(1.3km)and walking there could be a bit difficult as it's on the uphill. Those who plan to have all their meals outside should rethink about the location. In a nutshell Great value for the money!”
“Pleasant representative to meet us and the view from the sitting /dining room is amazing. The location was perfect for staying in the city.Although the flat was clean we felt it needed updating especially the bathroom and bedroom. Couldn't get the shower to work and we had water coming through the bedroom ceiling after torrential rain on our first day.Can appreciate that the upkeep on such an old building is difficult but the smell of damp in the entrance hall and the above comments would make us hesitate in recommending this particular flat to our friends.”
“this flat had everything you need for your stay. very good position, close to all the sites. lovely welcome pack, had a great stay, did not want to go home.”
“Excellent apartment, very comfortable, perfect for exploring the new town, minutes away from the old town, the apartment has everything you need, very cosy and welcoming, the owner was very pleasant and helpful, would definitely recommend.”
“We loved the flexibility and convenience of this flat. Two families (4 adults and 5 children) enjoyed the short walks to the many Edinburgh attractions, and shared many a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. Ron, the landlord, made sure that the beds were configured to our needs before we arrived. The shortbread snack provided a nice welcoming touch. Should we find ourselves in the area again, we will be sure to seek out this lovely apartment again.”
“We stayed for 3 nights and found the flat to be excellent and a wonderful location for walking to all the sites in central Edinburgh. Gill was very kind to meet us and give us suggestions for shopping etc. We wished we had booked to stay longer!”
“3 flights of stairs which was ok for us but if you've got kids it would be a pain. For the money £60 a night it represented good value and I'd recommend it due to the location which is great for the grass market area as well as old town (George / princes street).”
