“This flat is well placed near the city centre. We found it to be clean and well heated. We will return once Edinburgh City Council have got the trams running”
“I was fortunate to be located at Edinburgh-Flats during my first visit to Edinburgh and Scotland. It is near all the downtown sites, restaurants and tansportation. All the conveniences were provided and I enjoyed my stay very much.”
“Extremely well appointed flat in a great location to access all the wonders of Edinburgh - Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Museums and shopping are all in walking distance and the old town atmosphere is tremendous”
“Along with sister and nephew (3yrs) we stayed here just for 2 nights but it was exactly what we needed, a home away from home.
The flat is quiet, it's right next to both train and bus stops, both of which are fast into Edinburgh. Its extremely well (and nicely) furnished and it has everything you could need in there.
I will certainly be staying there again, and have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone.
Thanks again to Ann and Shelly for making us feel so welcome.”
“Comfortable clean flat. Good main bedroom. Second bedroom has an uncomfortable bed. Very good TV/ dvd. Unfortunately no wi-fi which is a drawback. Otherwise only minutes from the Festival Theatre. Recommended.”
“Beautiful apartment, very clean, perfect location and extremely well equipped. Seriously good quality furniture, fittings, beds, bedding and everything we needed for a great weekend. Got a good work out for the thighs getting up the stairs but this didn't detract from whole experience.”
“As always the flat was clean and tidy but there were no tea towels so we went out and bought some, the bathroom smelt of damp and the flickering light on entry!
The noise from the neighbours ranged from loud thumping music with a heavy base note to screaming and door banging.
Despite this we enjoyed Edinburgh - as we always do - the flat is ideally placed for walking everywhere and the transport system is good (we didn't have a car ).
I would not choose to stay in this flat again on trips to Edinburgh in the future.”
“The flat is very comfortable, clean and warm, with a bright sitting room, a spacious and well equipped kitchen and two nice bedrooms. It is in a quiet street in Bruntsfield and within walking distance to the centre and to Haymarket. My family and I enjoyed staying there very much and did not miss anything.”
“The apartment is in a great location, easy to go walking to most of the places and confortable for 4 people (adults). We were 9 days and everything was fine. The best things: location, kitchen and shower. Not good: no elevator, lights on the stairs not always on, owner charged extra money for cleaning after the stay using the pre-deposit money.”
“This flat is in a perfect location, in a really quiet cul de sac just off the Leith Walk and within 15 minute walk of Princes Street. Well equipped, modern and clean with good sized rooms and secure access. Private parking is right outside the door.”
“We felt 'at home' in this flat which was well equipped and the landlord certainly was quick to help us understanding the heating system. Floors were very squeaky which did wake up the small children more often than we anticipated, but otherwise everything was great - many thanks indeed for a great 'home from home'”
“The apartment is conveniently located, not far from the centre of Edinburgh and remote enough from any busy street to benefit from a quiet environment.
It is comfortable, clean and well equipped to guarantee a pleasant stay while being a nice place for undertaking to visit the capital of Scotland.
We have appreciated the possibility to walk from the flat to the city centre by using the warriston walkway leaving our car parked in the street alongside the building.
Certainly a place to be recommended.”
“We certainly recommend this flat which over looks the harbour. Modern, clean and spacious enough for three adults. An ideal location for Edinburgh and parking which is a bonus.”
“My family (two adults, two children) enjoyed our stay in this flat. The furniture and indeed the building has a victorian style complete with rocking chair. The kitchen although compact is equipped with all your requirements and everything worked flawlessly. The spare Toshiba laptop, although slow, was a bonus as it left me free to catch up with my mail on my laptop without being pestered by my children. The location is reasonably close to the centre and has free parking.
All in all a very good, comfortable flat and a bargain at the price. A tumble dryer would have helped though as our clothes took a long time to dry despite being August.”
“Great flat, very modern decor. No problems with cleanliness and good facilities. We didn't get a chance to ckeck out the gym but was certainly an appea;ing feature. Good location so long as you don't mind a bit of a walk.”
“From the booking process, through the pre-stay information, the handover and of course the stay itself, everything went perfectly.
The apartment is in a great location, very close to the interesting bits of town but at the same time in a relatively quiet area. There is a small Tesco within a couple of minutes walk which is open until 11pm.
The apartment is small but fine for 3 people (or 4 I guess but there were only 3 of us!). The combined kitchen and living area makes for a very sociable setting although perhaps the sofa could be slightly more comfortable and/or fixed so the seats don't keep sliding off. The WiFi access worked well and was appreciated, if only so we could blog our activities during our stay.
I very much like the decision by the owners to leave unused basic foodstuffs from the previous let in the cupboards. It's so nice not to have to buy sugar etc knowing you'll be throwing 90% of it away when you leave. Dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid and a J cloth were all provided, again it was nice not to have to go and get the basics.
The bathroom has a nice shower (powerful and hot) over the bath as well as a very welcome heated towel rail. For some reason, although there is plenty of water pressure at the sink and shower the toilet takes ages to refill, maybe that could be improved?
We only met the owner once, at handover. He was very welcoming and helpful, taking time to explain what was where etc and even going to get more dishwasher tabs when he noticed there were none.
Overall this was a very successful stay, many thanks.”
“Derek was so friendly and helpful in the run up to and during our stay. His apartment is lovely - stylish, clean, spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. It is not far from the centre, easily walked; or you can get a cab for about £7. There is free street parking in a quiet area only 5 minutes walk away. We highly recommend Derek's flat, and we would definitely stay again if returning to Edinburgh.”
“A really good flat and bolt hole while attending the Fringe. Perhaps we are used to traffic/passing noise but I found it almost tranquil... I took a laptop so the lack of any TV signal was not a problem as the free wifi came to the rescue. If there was any niggle it was that the kitchen area and facilities are limited but if you eat out or manage with kettle and microwave the it is adequate. Overall a great little flat with access second to none to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh in general.”
“We booked this flat primarily for its location. This was perfect and the flat was very quiet. The living room was spacious and light. The flat had all the basic things. The flat could have done with some tlc however, there were no doors on the cupboards in the kitchen and i had to clean it. The DVD player could not be plugged into the TV in anyway, and therefore you cannot use this facilaty. We had to hook up a laptop. Overall great location and a nice enough flat that could be brilliant with some TLC”
