I purchased the Eko stethoscope as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is a veterinarian at at a large animal hospital that is staffed with a team of doctors, most of whom are specialists. She had told me she needed new tubing for her Littmann and was so surprised when she opened her gift. She'd never seen one like it and was "wow'd" when she put it on. She exclaimed "It's so loud, and clear!". She told me that when she took it to work it caused a small frenzy and was the talk of the day. She and the other doctors absolutely love it and she told me the app is amazing too. She was so impressed with it that she posted a photo of her Eko gift on her Facebook page to show her gratitude and to give me "dad kudos".

I am mainly internal medicine doctor, who likes to record and listen to heart sound. This device is amazing and I can hear so much better especially in hospitalized patient, where they give you poor effort or not able to position pt for comprehensive exam. I would highly recommend it for any internal medicine or subspecialities mainly Cardiology, Pulmonary and Rheumatology.

As a physician (MD), I have used Littmanns for years , and have been very satisfied. However, after using the Eko for only a few days.....WOW there is a difference. Sound quality and amplitude is far better than expected. It is very easy to use and the battery life is fine.

Very strong amplifier . Could be great with noise filter . Battery longs for a day with frequent usage , and might be even more if use amplifier not too frequent

In my experience, using Eko has been helpful in hearing heart and lung sounds louder when there are things going on around you. It’s easy to use and easy to pair with the phone to record what you hear. Some of the things that they can improve on are 1) I forget to turn it off and the battery runs out in less than an hour. 2) the rubber tab that covers the charging port came off and now the charging port is exposed. Just cosmetically not looking good. 3) the original ear buds are small and of poor quality. It broke off within few days. So I got another pair from amazon and now it is fine.

Very convenient form factor, the sound is outstanding and the one lead EKG helps in a pinch when patients complain of palpitations. I’ve already diagnosed atrial fibrillation a few times before using a 12 lead

We bought this for our veterinarian. I asked her how she liked her Eko and she said she loved it. When the clinic gets a little noisy, she turns up the microphone so she is able to hear better. She said the ability to record what she hears will be helpful when she consults with a cardiologist. I think this device will definitely benefit her skills and help to make her an even better veterinarian. I'm so glad we purchased this for her.

I love both my Core and now my duo. I don't really get the chance to use them to their full capabilities, but I love the features and ease of use. The sound amplification is amazing, and I really enjoy the wireless charging for the new duo. Also, I had great experience with customer service helping me get a replacement earpiece when I managed to lose one on my Core. Thanks Eko, keep up the good work!

The device requires materials that can handle scratches My device is very scratched I like how light the device is The tube at the juncture with the screw in attachment came unglued from the inner parts exposing the electronics The ascultation is good The Ekg part requires more work to get adequate signal I have used eko stephescope for more than a year. I am very supportive of your efforts and drive for use of devices in telemedicine. I also tell my colleagues about your efforts to use AI and data to study The patterns and hopefully get signals of disease progression or worsening. If I can be of assistance to your efforts let me know. I enjoy using this product in my practice of cardiology.

I wish you provide a case. The device got scratches just by keeping it in my bag. I really hate having to log into the app before saving tracings. At least in the VA hospitals, there is no Wi-Fi and no cell phone signal. In this setting, I can’t save any tracing. In places where Wi-Fi or cell phone signal is available, it is bothersome/awkward to have to log into the app in front of the patient.

I was thrilled when my Eko Duo arrived! I can't wait to begin using it! Unfortunately, right now it is completely useless because I was not aware that it does not work with any device other than Apple iOS operating systems. A friend of mine borrowed it and was able to pair it with her Apple phone and showed me the readings. It was really cool! We were not able to print out the ECG reading, but didn't try for very long. The only thing I really need is to evaluate for QT prolongation, so I'm not sure if this device will do that for me or not, espcially since right now it is just a black brick until it can pair with Android phones.

As a Family Med PA It's always fun having a cardiologist challenge you on a subtle murmur you pickup during a physical and then have him apologize after he hears the recording you made on your Eko.

Echo Duo arrived just before Christmas. We display it on an IPad. Patients really appreciate being able to see what their doctor is listening to. The simultaneous ECG is a valuable feature in evaluating premature contractions and A-fib.

Reasonably interesting device. Currently using it for teaching only, for clinical purposes I keep my trusty Littman Master II on hand. 1. The elongated shape of the Eko DUO makes it difficult to examine patients with unusual anatomy (e.g. pectus excavatum) satisfactorily. 2. The flat shape makes it easier to examine patients who are not fully disrobed 4. The connection to iPhone is reasonably reliable but requires a few clicks 3. Sound quality is ok but not stellar. Personally, among digital stethoscopes, I prefer the ThinkLab One's sound and filter choices. 4. The default setting for volume is reasonably low, and the does not seem to be a mechanism to make it "stick" at a higher volume between exams. 5. The 3-clicks mechanism does not reliably initiate recording. Yet, to activate a recording from the phone screen, you'll have to have your phone close by. That creates issues with hygiene, placement and risk of falling for the phone -- at least in my mind. A lot of fun, but not ready for prime time in my opinion. Then again, I'm old.
