“Love Ello for my child BUT as a parent I’d like a section to actually go through and see things like issues they’re having, improvements, books read and things that could help them. Instead of getting emails every so often. Being able to view progress and things as such would be very helpful for me.”

“I thought this would be a wonderful way to get my daughter to want to read more. Instead it has made her reading choppy and she is relying on the help from ello more often than sounding out words she doesn't know. I don't recommend”

“We are only a week and a half in, but my child is LOVING Ello! They look forward to reading every day. They enjoy earning stars and "buying" new outfits for Ello to wear. The YT videos that they get as a prize for finishing a book is motivating. We both really like the feature that Ello will help sound out words that are a bit tricky. The interactive nature of the program is helpful for engagement. So far, this has been a 10/10 experience and we are looking forward to the gains that are still yet to come!”

“We have been so impressed with Ello! We tried it over the summer. My daughter just wasn’t wanting to do it got back into it in the school year and it has helped her improved on her reading so much. She loves that she gets to earn points sees that she’s winning in essence. It’s just been a game changer with reading with my daughter!!”

“Ello is a lifesaver. I had a hard time getting my daughter to read books. She’d read certain books, but nor interested in new books until Ello. She’s homeschooled, so I’m trying to keep her reading level at above average or higher, and with Ello she reads every night. She is now so excited to read and loves Ello! So happy! It’s worth it!”

“My daughter is finally interested in Reading ,she doesn’t want me to help her anymore, She loves earning stars so she can buy outfits for the elephant. Teaches her how to pronounce words correctly and how to break them down, Great app for reading highly recommend this App to everyone. customer service is great, very fast response, every week ello since the parents any words that the child need to improve on”

“My son used Ello and loved it. He was confident and read more than he had before and really enjoyed the books that were available. I love how it listen to him and helps him sound out words that he struggled with. We love it.”

“My children are really enjoying Ello. They are willing to spend more time per session working on their reading than with a paper book because of the novelty of using an iPad, and the fact that it utilizes voice recognition software makes it more useful than many reading apps. My only complaint is that I feel bombarded by emails from Ello.”

“My children are enjoying the app very much. They are more likely to work on reading for longer than if they have a paper book because using an iPad is a fun novelty for them. The voice recognition software is pretty good, but not perfect. My only complaint is that I receive too many emails from Ello.”

Hi Dana! Thank you so much for your review. There are over 700 books in the Ello library. You will notice that Ello puts forward specific books for a child to read at their specific level that focus on a particular skill. However, once those books are complete, the next set unlocks. This controlled journey assures that your child is mastering specific phonics and literacy skills in an evidence-based progression. You can always access other books in the library outside the quests by scrolling down on the home screen. I hope this helps!

“My child age 9 loves the books. She's more independent in her reading and the prizes help motivate her to read more. The only small problem she's having is the app doesn't always understand her because of her speech differently.”
