I applied for the installation of a new EO mini online. Filling the form required a bit of effort, and waiting for a contractor to schedule an appointment took a few weeks - but it's been worth it. The contractor did an excellent job and reused a lot of existing wiring; the installation blends in seamlessly, and all the extra boxes have been clearly expertly placed. The contractor and/or EO took care to apply for the grant on my behalf, saving me from further annoyances. The EO mini charger itself looks really cool and sturdy. The app is adequate, the main feature I really wanted was to disable the charger when I'm not using it, and that's pretty straightforward. I charger my plugin hybrid a few times without any problems. Overall I'm really happy!

I have had my EO Mini Pro 2 installed for a day - it looks great, the small size makes it very unobtrusive. The fitting was well done, cables all routed very neatly - brilliant job. The app does all of the basics, but reading some of the reviews there may be additional features which would be useful in the app (e.g. supporting more smart tariffs e.g. Octopus Agile) - it doesn't impact me at the moment but may do in the future.

My wife and I are very happy with the charge point and the service CrossTech provided. Paul the installer was both friendly and professional, completed the installation without any inconvenience and exactly how we wanted it. I’m especially grateful for his knowledge and honesty in regards to the capability of the solar panels installed on my property and why they were not suitable as a viable power source for my car. Not sure if all installers would do this. CrossTech refunded me the money for the CT clamp the very next day. Good service by both EO and CrossTech.

Really nice, neat, little unit. A couple of things that would be useful would be: 1. An optional piece of curved plastic to fit over the top of the unit, to allow the cable to be hooked over it and stored when not in use. 2. Improve the app a little to include prices. The app seems to know my tariff, so could easily use costs as well as kW units. 3. Auto-email the energy use every day, to avoid the need to go and check in the app. 4. Include open charging sessions in the history. I know it's controversial, but when my car charge has finished but it's still plugged in, it's annoying it's not listed. Thanks!

It’s now 5-1-21 and my home charger still don’t connect to my internet. I have made phone calls and was told a engineer needs to come back out and connect or fit a new charger. Since it’s been fitted I’m charging on the higher rate and still no one has contacted me to come and sort the problem out. Cheers Russell Simmons 07932040837

The charger and gentlemen that installed it was great! However the company that I had to go through to arrange installation and purchasing was absolutely awful "Charge EV"! I initially got in contact with them in December and although fully aware of COVID and things having to be paused, which I totally understand, it eventually took weeks of ringing daily once COVID restrictions had been lifted (June) just to get the charger, which I had paid for to be sent. Initially a cable was sent and an engineer arrived but he had nothing to fit. I also asked and thought I had paid for a tethered unit but was sent the wrong one and to be completely honest I didn't get back in contact with them as I had given up on such a shocking company. It is such a shame as we love your product but I would advise anyone to buy a charger from their car dealership instead of having to deal with "Charge EV"!

The new Mini Pro 2 looks fantastic and is a definite upgrade. I have had excellent customer service from EO as they went above and beyond to sort a few issue I had with the installation. Very happy!

Thanks for the installation. I have charged twice off peak and have downloaded the app. All seems fine although I don't think I'll get much use from the solar balancing until next Spring when it should prove useful. The installer, Gareth, was polite and efficient and did a neat and tidy job.

This has been one of the most frustrating times of my life . It has taken months to organise this charge point. It would have been easier to negotiate Brexit. The lack of communication between octupus, eo. And ev . Should not really be my problem. Wether the staff are working from home or a different planet is of no concern to me . But the installer attends and expects the charger to be sent to me the customer. So no installation there then. The following week the charger is posted to myself but no ct clamp to link the solar power. Which was discussed with eo months before . Please give your heads a wobble and work together for the customers. This is not pass the parcel !!

My smart home app has been intermittently faulty with regard to the solar function. Sometimes it works fine, other times it will ignore the instruction to use solar and charges solely from the grid. Very irritating. Today, the app is completely down, saying no connection so am now reliant on the car app. Not impressed so far.

Most importantly, the EO charger charges my new EV. No problems there. The associated smart app is dire. It's poorly documented and explained, so a learning journey. It sporadically doesn't recognise when it's plugged in. Data is inaccurate. The history function misses events. Buttons don't function. Thankfully my EV and its app do work with the charge point, but an app improvement would be great. Unfortunately, chargers aren't the sort of product you get to try in advance (or change).

Although I'd researched home chargers, I thought eo had native octopus agile or Go integration. While the app lets me set off peak hours, it wasn't as intuitive and able to read the charging state as I thought. The fitting was a little painful due to the length of time and repeated failures to register the QR codes in the app, where the filter was unsure. In the end, I worked out that I had the eo app, rather than the eo smart home app and that the order of QR code registration was hub, then charger. Fitter inexperience is fine, as everyone has to learn and gain experience. He had to spend a lot of time on the phone with eo. The associated documentation and how to videos are surprising lacking for the app, and the app reviews are on the store are poor.

I am very unimpressed with your app. It took many attempts by the installer and myself to set it up. So far as I can tell I have been able to use the app to select the Octopus Go tariff. But the app seems incapable of reporting charging sessions which have occurred under that tariff (I can tell that they have occurred, and when, because of information about half hourly usage on the Octopus web site and I can also see that the car has been charged).

Very nice! The functions are amazing especially the charging history log that I can use for expensing purposes for work. I've connected the charger to my 6 kWh system. Using solar to charge my car and then expensing to work :) instead of petrol. I was going to buy a regular charger and then connect a log but that would have been manual and cost me more than this solution.

Installed very efficiently By third party electrician who has been great. The app however doesn’t work and along with other reviews there is nothing smart about the kit as it is a glorified plug socket.
