I signed up on EpicVIN’s website for a $1 vehicle history report. After completing the purchase, my card was charged $99.99 without clear and conspicuous disclosure that the trial would convert into a paid subscription at this amount.
I did not knowingly agree to a $99.99 charge. The pricing was not presented prominently at checkout in a way that would make a reasonable consumer aware of this charge.

Steps taken to resolve
I contacted EpicVIN customer support immediately after discovering the charge. I canceled the subscription right away and confirmed that the service was not used.
EpicVIN refused to issue a refund and instead offered store credit, which I do not accept.

A $1 trial converting into a $99.99 charge without clear and prominent disclosure constitutes deceptive billing. Offering store credit instead of a refund does not resolve the issue, as I did not authorize this charge in the first place.”
