Problem after problem, parcel arrived with 2 items and not the 4 I ordered and 1 of the items was incorrect item, admittly it was sorted after a hour on hold to speak to someone,

Although the delivery was quick transaction was easy ( I would give 5*) however the mask was very disappointing nothing like the picture at all and squashed

Very upset with the sizing of the product as the packaging stated 14-16 when in reality it was more like an 8-10. Will not be ordering from this site again.

The item that arrived appeared to be of great quality and the price was reasonable, however I chose to have the item delivered next day delivery (ordered on Wednesday evening) and the costume didn't arrive until Saturday. Also when trying to contact the office I was placed on hold for over 50 minutes and only managed to contact someone via email, the email replies were relatively fast and I have been told I will receive a full refund including postage however I am disappointed with the overall service that I received from Escapade.

Hi Katy We are very sorry about the delivery, I've looked at the system and we did in fact dispatch it on time, however, there was a problem with Royal Mail which was completely out of our control on this occasion. Once again we are very sorry. Kind regards, Escapade

The delivery time was great but the product was poorly made. Soon as I put it on parts the zip broke, and within one hour the finger holes were ripping.

I ordered two Halloween dresses, one was OK, but the other one which came with small lights did not work at all. When opening the battery compartment the batteries were corroded and leaking.

The costume is fantastic and the price is brilliant. But customer service is a joke. I made a purchase previously and received a discount code - site doesnt allow you to input it. So I emailed for support- no reply. Its useless and actually cost me money. Costume is great though

Very disappointed with delivery options and delivery. When I ordered this broomstick the site didn’t give me a cheaper delivery option for say 2-3day delivery. It only allowed me to pay for a next day delivery at £6.99. But the item never arrived the next day, in fact it took 4 days (two working days). So why only give me next day delivery option when it took longer. Not sure what I paid almost £7 for. The only reason I ordered this item from escapade was because it was cheaper than any other site, but once I paid for delivery it cost me more money. I’m really not happy, as I feel cheated.

Can’t fault the service, but the costume wasn’t worth the money! The panels all ripped when you pulled it on. Lucky if you get one use out of it.

I placed an order for a fancy dress costume for my daughter. It was supposed to arrive by friday 21st June. Friday came and went....it did not arrive until the Saturday when her fancy dress event was over. If I had known this i would not have ordered. In our current times, delivery dates are usually much more accurate than this. Quite disappointing.

Dear Joanne Please accept our apologise for not receiving your items in time for your event. I can see that your order was shipped on the 19th (same day of order) on a 1-2 day delivery service. Please note this is not a guaranteed delivery service. 96.4% However you should have received the order on Friday. We will discuss it with Royal Mail, unfortunately their tracking is currently down so I'm unable to track your parcel. Hopefully this should be resolved within a couple of hours. Delivery was quick and easy only has it 3 days and can’t us it anymore blocks all signal on my phone, slows it down i have to turn off my phone just to get signal back. I use my phone all day and need good battery life on the go my job is my phone and found it would be easier to just use a cable.

Dear Adam Please accept our apologise. Your order was sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48 service, which was shipped on Thursday and delivered two working days later on Monday. We have an account with Royal Mail which means there should be no further payment for our customers to make. Did you receive a cards asking you to make a payment? Or did the postman want payment at delivery? Please take a photo of the receipt and send to contact@escapade.co.uk and we will refund you immediately and investigate with Royal Mail. This is the first time I have heard this has happened, ever in the last 15 years. your tracking information is not showing that there was any delay or payment requested. Best Regards Escapade

I purchased a 'Flash' Deluxe costume for my nephew for his 5th birthday present. Although the outfit looks great and is the correct fit, the velcro fastenings on the back are wholly inadequate, they are both too small and flimsy for the job and do not stay fastened. They open as soon as he moves around and the outfit almost falls off his shoulders. Not happy!

Dear Joanna Thank you for your review, its a good theme which I'm happy to answer. With the new testing required for children costumes, EN71 part 1,2 and 3, the fastening can only be achieved safely by using velcro. This is designed to ensure there is minimal chance of chocking during play. I understand your frustration with this but any other fastening used for children costumes could potentially be hazardous. As such all children costumes will have this safety feature, please note a stitched material tie would not pass the safety testing required. Costume was not supplied with all the accessories described. I ordered 2 different sizes and when I tried to return one, it was incredibly difficult to obtain the correct return address and the return section of the website seems to be permanently down. I was also only refunded the current price, not the original price I paid despite returning it unworn and within the statutory cool off period - this is in breach of consumer regulations. Not very happy.
