So, after an accident at the beginning of August I was almost immediately called by the 3rd party insurer and offered a £100 incentive for allowing them to handle car hire etc instead of my own company - saves them a good deal of money, obviously. While the write off of the car was dealt with quickly, it now transpires that there was never any intention of the £100 cheque being paid. Having initially been offered the payment by "Scott" on the 2nd, I finally decided to chase the absent amount on 24th, being assured that the cheque would be sent out immediately - another perfectly pleasant operator, just lying through her teeth, obviously. So here we are, a month later, and I've just sat through a 10 minute "screw you" with "Tom", clearly the last line of indifference in this third rate company's arsenal of mediocre functionaries. A couple of minutes of being talked over and I was put on hold indefinitely - guess I can go whistle for the money you owe me then? It's worth noting that these petty crooks operate out of Scotland, so they consider themselves immune to the rule of law that governs breach of contract (and openly fraudulent activity) in the rest of what used to be Britain. All I can say is this - if some crook from eSure tries to con you into saving them money, don't do it - let your insurance company hit them with whatever grossly inflated expenses they want, it's the least they deserve!!

Disgraceful refund and the fact that they add insult to injury by charging to cancel a policy. They may look the best value but the devil is in the detail, I'd rather use an honest company. Steer clear. Theives.

You are allowed by law your own choice of repairer in the case of bodywork repair. esure, however, penalize you if you choose differently from their choice, even when the body repairer is the recommended choice of the maker of the car. They are trying to force you into accepting their choice of repairer. This is against the spirit of the law and in my view is unethical.

After months of phone calls and leaving reviews about my treatment at Esure they have now sent me a letter cancelling my insurance, it’s ok for there pit bulls to argue but when you start with them they spit the dummy out and cancel your insurance, now I’m out of pocket by £3000 + my car still needs to be fixed I’m £300 down on my exes new insurance of £400 to fix the car wing mirrors and amp the garage blew with a power surge £1300 loss of no claims even tho they had the dash cam footage and all the info the same day as the accident, the worst company I have ever had as a insurance company, don’t think that paying less for insurance helps you, yes get a good deal but make sure that they check everything is working in your car before you leave at a garage to be fixed by your insurance,

was with shelias wheels didnt realise its esure in disguise!! when you claim it goes through esure not shelias wheels. over 16 hours in 4 days and over 200 phone calls made and recieved regarding a claim. im not at fault. esure do nothing but said and i quote "had i paid the £30 optional extra for legal cover they would have done it all and i would recieve 199% of my personal injury claim and wold just pay my excess which is £100". these people have no customer service they treat you like dirt get you to do everything. the courtesy car is a ford ka that you cant ve if the car is written off only if its being repaired i had to rent a car and have it delivered from 50 miles away to ensure it was the same car as i had had so i can try to claim against insurance. i wouldnt trust esure to insure a bowl of snot!!

My wife recently had an accident, unfortunately there incompetent and careless colleges without taking care of the fact and evidences called the accident to be my wife's fault. The great people who "works" to protect us didn't even bothered to watch the video she recorded to prove she is the victim. She is done here part of the deal and pay the fee they wanted and expected they will do theirs, the protection she payed for. By failing to protect there customer BUT TAKE THE MONEY form them remind me an other organisation ho also taking money for false protection (or else). As being the first and last year of our contract I can only hoping the company's like these will go down for good.

They are lucky to have 1 star. I requested a locksmith to come out as per my cover and after 2 weeks he finally came back to finish the job yesterday. The job isn’t completed the windows windscreen wipers boot and certain lights in my car no longer work so I have to book it in to a BMW dealership, but can’t get in until Wednesday and this company has told me that they won’t give me a curtesy car so that 5 days Atleast with no vehicle and a 2 year old son I have to pick up and take away. No consideration at all for anyone when I mentioned this all I got told was “there’s nothing we can do” but I could apparently claim on my insurance. Funny that isn’t it. When my insurance is up for renewal I will be leaving after 6 years (this being the only time I’ve had to bother them in that time)

My luggage got delayed (not the first time) and I feel Esure putting forward pretty unreasonable requests. I had to list all that was in the bag that was delayed, inc value, when I bought it, where, what proof of purchase I have, etc. I am not claiming for lost contents, only expenses for basic items!! Also they asked for the airport baggage department to confirm 'in writing' the number of hours between they lost the bad and when I got it back... The whole thing has taken hours to compile and a 40 mins call. Def not worth the £200!

It's probably my fault for not checking my renewal premium, but I'm paying far, far too much for my Car Insurance. I changed cars to a smaller model...and my premiums went up!!!! - Plus and Admin Fee!!! I was unsure about a piece of detail when I called so was told to phone back the next day if I needed to amend...It turns out I did need to make that call - and they tried to charge me another admin fee....Zero Customer understanding or empathy during call 2 and why did the girl from call 1 not tell me of the potential additional admin fee??? - she could simply had said call back when you know. I was of course calling ahead of transferring to a new car and had the time to call back later....so a decision didn't need to be made during call 1 Very, Very poor. I will be going elsewhere next year even if Esure offer to insure me for free

I took out a policy online, called my existing insurer the next day to cancel, but they offered to match the price so I stayed. Although I called Esure the very next day to cancel the new policy, they still insisted on charging me a cancellation fee of £25. What point is a 14 day cooling off period? Meanwhile, a third insurer (LV) who I mistakenly took out an insurance with, forgetting to add my wife, refunded my insurance in full, with no charge under the same circumstances. So this is clearly not normal policy (to charge a cancellation fee when you're within 14 days) with all insurers. Just the dodgy ones like Esure. I guess this this is how they make their money. #stung

My car was stolen and esure advised me to send all of the paperwork including any keys. Then an engineer contacted me within 5 working days by leaving a short voicemail that they have valued my car and that they will e-mail. They did not leave a number to call back. I then called esure as I did not receive an e-mail. They apologised and sent this to me. I read the e-mail and did not agree with the valuation. The person that I spoke to asked me to reply to the e-mail and sending an advert of how much the same car is. I then replied to the e-mail even though it said "do not reply to this e-mail" as this is what I was advised to do and I was not provided with any other details and I was told an engineer will then contact me the next day. The next day again no one contacted me therefore I called back and I was told that the person has now gone home and they did not know when they start the next day but they will send them an e-mail to call me back before 10a.m I then called at 9:50 a.m as I was not going to be available as this time I actually took a number to call the engineer back and I got his voicemail saying he is on annual leave until 23rd April but provided his colleague's number. I rang this number and there was a voicemail that he is also on annual leave until the 18th April and yet another number was provided. This wasted my time as I had to start work at 10a.m. I left a voicemail for someone to ring me back. I was then called at around 12 noon and the engineer introduced himself and asked if I had 10 minutes to discuss my claim. I found this really strange that a claim would take a 10 minutes discussion and realised that this was just a call of him telling me the valuation and not listening to anything I had to say. The car was valued £4,000 below the market value according to the current market. I told the engineer that I disagree and also my reasons behind this. It was clear that he had not read my e-mail or read what my car's specifications were as he said whatever my car had is standard for this particular car. He then said this is not open for negotiation this is a final offer and you can complain to the financial ombudsman if you think this is unfair. I asked to speak to his manager and he said the only way to complain is through the financial ombudsman and that he will send me an e-mail with the final offer and a cheque will be issued within 5 working days. I said I work in the legal sector and I am aware what the financial ombudsman does and therefore I would like to be sent the complaints procedure of esure. I was asked "What is the complaint?" in which I replied as you do not seem to have listened to anything I had to say I will put my complaint in writing as throughout the conversation he was speaking over me and kept saying I am not letting him talk. The engineer told me that they have used Parkers to value my car. I checked Parker's website and realised they are offering me the trading value for my car when my car was in immaculate condition. So think before you insure with this company because if your car is a total loss they would only give you the trade value and not consider the condition, how much you would have spent on the car or what optional extras it would have. They are not interested to hear what you got to say and they are very rude. We were their customer for a number of years and have multi car insurance however, by the end of this policy we would leave and would ensure that any of our friends, family, colleagues would not insure with esure as well as share my experience in every social media available to allow others to make an informed decision.

They charged me £179 per month for my car insurance . I rang up and asked why it was so much. Was told it was because of the price of the car. Decided one day to go through moneysupermarket which ended up getting me the same insurance for £40 a month. Rang ensure back and asked them the criteria they used to quote me at £179. Got an apology with no money back. Cancelled straight away.
