“I purchased a Varta 105Ah starter battery (part no. 444779114) which according to your website is compatible for a BMW X5M, reg DC18 XUV, invoice no. 04407262. Took it to my local service garage to be fitted and was advised that it did not fit - too long. Measured the existing battery and found that your 95Ah Varta starter battery (part no. 444777004) was the correct physical size for my X5M desite your website stating that it was not compatible with my vehicle. I returned the 105Ah battery to your Kilmarnock branch and advised the staff that it was unsuitable for my X5M. They entered my reg number and agreed that your website did state that the 105Ah battery was compatible and that the 95Ah battery was incompatible. Had your database been correct it would have saved me from a 30 mile return journey to return the 105Ah battery. Can I suggest you correct your database accordingly.”
