I have been using Europasat for several years now and service has been excellent. In that time, there has only been one occasion when the service was unavailable for a couple of hours late at night. Tech support are very helpful and knowledgeable and help resolve problems even when they have determined that the problems are with my local network.

While the service has improved a bit recently connection and download speeds are often slow and at times I cannot get connected at all. It seems as if the system is overloaded at peak times when I understood the amount of use would be adjusted to give all users a reasonable service at all times.

As I live in the far north of scotland I could not get telephone broadband. However, my satellite broadband is excellent, and much faster than my friends' in the city.

I am fairly happy with my broadband, but I did expect it to be faster than it is and didn't expect all the buffering delays. The installation was very smooth and quick. Because the internet speed on my isle is so poor, I told a number of people about what I had bought. One of my neighbours then purchased the same package, but this was before I heard about the friends and family referral bonus. I e-mailed to ask about this about 2 months ago - and still waiting for a response!

Hi We are happy with the way our system works, but ourselfs and many other people we know who use your service in France feel that it's to expensive for the little amount of data you get! With everything now running through the net ie tv like Netflix ,music streaming and telephone the data gets swallowed up in know time at all. Yes you offer larger data packages but the price is a joke! It's a shame as the system works well ,but as soon as a product arrives thats a better more realistic cost myself and many others will be moving to a different service. Regards Oliver Kilby

Satellite will be more expensive that standard ADSL broadband due to the amount of funding that has been ploughed into the new Technology. Europasat works fine, but it's much less of an improvement over the landline broadband than I hoped. We live at the end of a long country lane and the broadband is very poor, so I had been hoping the satellite connection would be much better. Allowing for the initial long latency, which is a generic problem with satellite connections, the data speeds are just about the same as the broadband connection. So no real complaint, but certainly disappointing.

Not a bad system. Very fast when it works but it does seem to suffer from numerous outages which often prevent the enjoyment of watching United Kingdom based TV. The great selling point is the fixed UK IP address and without this I would have moved already to a local solution which is MUCH cheaper. i.e. Half the price or less

Generally, I'm pretty happy with the speed and service. However, I do feel that the speed had reduced since signing up to a 24 month contract, the thoughts of potentially paying more to get the same service I originally signed up for, as popularity increases, are a bit of a turn off to say the least. Look after existing, loyal customers, one would hope so .......

The speeds you are receiving could be due to the amount of people on the network at any given time as this is a shared network and for this reason, we cannot guarantee any kind of headline speeds. This is also why your speeds may be lower during the late afternoon till late at night simply due to the amount of people using the bandwidth. If you have particular concerns, can we ask that you call our Technical Team when you are experiencing the particularly slow speeds and they can investigate for you. Kind regards The Europasat Team

I have been a customer of Europsat, via Tooway, for several years now. The transformation in internet usage was dramatic - speed was no longer the constraint but rather monthly connection data limits (10 GB for my package). I read recently that the average monthly broadband download was 54MB. I have lost satellite connection on just three occasions, plus once when heavy snowfall built up on the aerial. The help desk has been good on the few occasions when I have contacted them. The only pity is that the satellite capacity is becoming saturated and thus there is little likelyhood of improved download limits becoming available for the same price.

Although the dish assembly is quite heavy, the Installation and assembly is staightforward. If you point the dish in the approximate direction of the satellite, the in-built satellite signal finder makes the fine tuning easy. Signal is much better than that of the previous telephone line. Technical advice is always available should there be any queries.

we have been having problems with our system for quite a while now due to it freezing,slow speed,& not loading at all which we have to turn all of the system off then reset it ,,, we are told we would have to pay a surcharge for you to come out even when its not working as it should

If your dish needed to be realigned due to movement in the dish, this will affect your speeds and the realigning of the dish is your responsibility.
