The conversion to video was good however the process was a bit awkward. Needing to go to a local shop to drop off and pick up didn't add any value and was a hassle. Also scheduling discussions with Everpresent was not smooth, a lot of back and forth trying to set times.

As with most antiquated technology we not able to view what is on it. I gave several floppy disks and a reel of 8mm film. On some of the floppy disks was code for an outdated flying game. This i did not want to be transferred. However everpresent did not make contact in order to discern if i wanted to spend money on such an item. For the several months it took to have this small job done i would have expected to hear from them to verify all the items indeed were to be transferred. If contact was to be made I would have instructed them not to transfer the game code which would have saved me money and them time. Instead I waited for several months only to have half of my items be useless. I will say the end product was good. The attention and service could use a touch up.

Hi. I’m happy to get my materials back after several phone calls and inquiries. I dropped off photos and videos in July and did not get results for months.

The production people are fine. The customer service reps are maddening. I have a significant number of photos that I want made into digital books. However, I can't understand how Everpresent is going to get me from A to Z on this. The website also says a designer will do a consultation with me but I am still not sure how that happens after three calls. I really would rather talk to someone who is going to solve my problem.

Was happy with the turnaround time with my last project, product was not significantly superior to a prior service that had converted this same film to digital. Price was probably my biggest reason for the 3-star rating.

I wasn't kept informed from beginning to end of the process. Never knew if they were working on it or shipped it or what. Then tried to charge an additional $10 to the shipping cost, at least reversed it. Should use a better system to keep customer informed. Coworker used Legacy Box, always emailed info updates - located in KY. I used Everpresent one state over & it took longer to process & receive. Sorry I can not recommend.

I'm grateful that the videos we submitted have been recorded, since in the past I've worked in this medium, I was a bit disappointed by the final results, really more than "a bit" because this required no expertise whatsoever. Now I'm looking at slides 9Far, far too many of them, and I wish that after they went onto a flash drive, I could do a voiceover narration. That would so much better for me than what you are offering. The next generations would have something to treasure, but without a voiceover, it would just be pictures identified one by one. After the slide were stored, I'd love to be able to come in and describe each one. We have so much stuff that will mean something to our children, grandchildren, and great grandson, but with an actual physical narrative, it would just become a boring set of old pictures. Do you have the capacity to do something like this? And I also wonder about a music soundtrack - it would make all this "stuff" far, far more professional.

The quality of the media I submitted was not the best. It did however have music, which enhanced the experience of viewing. I was disappointed that my new media did not include the music.

It was an ok experience . A little bit of an inconvenience for sure and the cds are ok . There are a lot of spots in film that is unclear and static . We didn’t get told that there was a problem with it . Also , I thought the cost was high for just transferring tapes to cds Nothing special was done .

Digital reproduction was not the clearest, but likely represents the quality of the source film. That said, process was OK, but expensive when measured against end result.

Audio files came back in multiple formats, and communication throughout the process was non-existent ("click for more info about your order" goes to an FAQ, "call this number to get status" -> phone tree with hours). Process frustrations aside, the files came back usable and once I converted them myself to something usable it was fine.

Process and product was fantastic! No complaints there. Not all service fees are listed under the "service fees" section of the client agreement though - so beware. Some fees are tacked on without notice, (even though the agreement says "We will notify you of any significant Service Fee increase.") So make sure you read all the details on the website, (especially the hidden "Extras and Details" section), and the quotes you are provided turn out to be only "Estimates". Besides that - the product arrived sooner than expected and obviously care was taken to digitize the old tapes I sent. I loved taking advantage of the "Bring additional items when you pick up your order and receive a credit towards continuing your project offer in your email." Everpresent is a really great service if you know about the "gotchas" ahead of time!

We haven’t viewed all of the film as of yet, but many pictures were out of focus, to dark or not clear. We did understand that the films were old and not in the best condition. We would have liked it if you could have deleted the pictures that were in poor condition.
