“The ExactMat we purchased for our oval shaped dining room table fit perfectly. We were amazed. It looked like glass, at first. My only question is what is the max temp that this ExactMat will take without leaving a mark. My husband put his coffee cup on it and I can now see the round spot on the ExactMat where he put the cup. I also have a spot where I sit that was left there after I heated something up on a plate in the microwave and put it on the ExactMat. That is the only reason I did not give a 5 star rating. I thought it was a tougher material than that. Is there any way to remove these blemishes from the ExactMat? I look forward to hearing your response. Since my initial review, Katie in CSD has been working with me to help resolve the issue. I have changed my rating from 4* to 5* because of her outstanding resolve to make sure I was satisfied with our final resolution. My only advice would be to make sure and put a pot holder down before putting anything hot on a crystal mat finish. If you prefer not to do this, then you should purchase the Riverston e finish instead.”

“I was expecting the acrylic to be hard and was surprised that came in a roll. It flattened well overnight with a few books and other weights on it. The advantages: acryllic is clearer than glass and isn't heavy yet it's durable and will never break.”

“Product lives up to the name! I ordered a mat with a 1/16” difference and it fit perfect, no uneven lines or anything. Product is good quality as well and I feel confident in protecting my furniture. Shipping was expensive though, and I wouldn’t mind waiting longer in shipping in times if it meant it could be cheaper, however, if you live in a rural/small area like me, then it’s worth investing. I’ll most likely be buying another in the future!”

Regarding shipping: we'd like to clarify that we do offer free shipping on orders of a certain value or more (currently, orders of $120+ in the lower 48 states receive 100% free standard shipping. Looking at your order, we can see the order did not qualify for free shipping. Additionally, it looks like 2 day shipping (an upgradable shipping option) was selected, which does typically come at a higher carrier cost. This accounts for the higher shipping costs in general. “When I first ordered this mat, I was not really happy about the quality The edges were curled up. I thought it was temporary so I gave it a few days. This didn’t change. I contacted the company and they sent out a new mat. So far, it’s holding up well.”

“After researching table liners, I still had some questions and emailed ExactMats support. I was lucky enough to correspond with Katie who is a SUPERSTAR. She was patient with me and gave me all the info I needed to make my choiice. The website is well laid out, attractive and user friendly. Odering is quick and easy. The shipment was quick considering mine was a custom size. The liner arrived quickly and fit perfectly. Perfectly. The Riverstone frost is nice and thick while still looking pretty on my table. The quality is just fantastic. There was no odor and there was no curl the following morning. “We have had the placemats for 8 days. A couple issues: 1) they have yet to lay completely flat. A portion of each platemat continues to slightly curl up. They're exposed to the afternoon sun every afternoon but that hasn't helped. 2) There is a small offset where the circular cut was apparently started & stopped. It's small but noticeable on all four (4) placemats. Revised: ExactMats responded to the above review, acknowledged the issues we were having and immediately sent out replacement mats. The problems have been completely resolved. Well done!”

“I rated the ExactMats I ordered as a 4 because I expected the product would be more rigid than it turned out to acually be. I was expecting a product that would retain its shape like a solid wood top desk. The product is soft which means if you place a heavy object on it and leave it for a protracted period, the mat will become depressed and reflect the shape of the heavy object. I still will use the product to cover my desk top as it is an improvement because it will protect the top of my desk.”

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear the product did not 100% meet your expectations. That's not what we want at all! After all, our customers' satisfaction is our #1 priority! To clarify, while our product is made to look similar to glass, it does not share all of the same physical or chemical attributes as glass. Vinyl is not typically rigid like glass, for instance. That said, our product is rolled up for shipping and can be rolled for storage, and does have a bit of give (this is due to the impact resistance in the material), but it should not cause any permanent impressions unless a very heavy object has been sitting on the product for a prolonged period of time. That said, it looks like our team contacted you to see if there was anything else we could do. They've let us know that you've opted to keep this existing mat for protection purposes. “The quality of the mat was very good, but I asked for 22.25 inches width, and they cut it to 22.0 inches. Still usable, but that's concerning for a company that calls itself EXACTmats.”

In regards to using the product with a mouse: although the product is not designed to be used as a mousepad, but rather a surface protector, customers have had much success using our products as a mousepad when there is a pattern or woodgrain under the mat - an optical mouse should be able to pick up the movement. If you have a surface like this, and you are experiencing issues, please reach out to our Support Team (Support@ExactMats.com) for further assistance. That said, if the material is on top of a solid, monochrome surface, due to the nature of a clear product and how a laser mouse works, the mouse may not be able to read that it's moving. If this is the case, we would suggest adding a mouse pad to the top of the desk cover. We hope this is helpful! “Our table cover was manufactured and shipped so quickly that it was amazing. The material was as advertised - perfectly clear and colorless. It was necessary to return our cover for an exchange because one of the dimensions was just slightly too long (some sort of expansion during shipment, apparently). Also, we will need to try the hair dryer trick when our new cover arrives, because the edges wouldn’t lay perfectly flat (probably due to cold weather making it stiff). Customer service was excellent in handling our return.”

Once you receive the mat, you'll just want to unroll the mat and lay it flat on your surface. The mat should return to its flat state within a few hours to a day or so.
