“Ordering is so simple. My order was very well protected from potential damage as I had a tank delivered. On the wed site it said next day delivery for my order, it took a week. No complaints though as very happy with everything that was delivered 🙂”

“Bought 2 pair of alpine newts only have 3 now lost one of the females after a couple of days wasn’t as active as the others when it arrived.”

“Made a purchase of 2 fire-bellied toads. Came in great visible health and good courier service. However, these toads were specifically described as green with red bellies and I received fairly brown toads with pale yellow bellies. Of course I understand this species can have brown colouring, this was not stated on the site, but is not a big deal. But their yellow bellies that should be vibrant orange/ red is very dissapointing as this implies they recieved a low carotene diet and will be hard or impossible to bring their red colour out. Overall, a mostly positive experience.”

This species is quite varied, especially in captive bred specimens and we've even made a note about this belly colouration within our care sheet. Hi Jake, I'm very sorry to hear your unhappy with our service. However, I've just looked into the details of this order and can see what you actually ordered was 'live food' and not 'livestock'. Unfortunately, it would appear that you missed Royal Mail's original delivery and then didn't attempt to collect the parcel for several days from the sorting office. As we have already explained to you, bulk bags of insects are packaged for short term transport and need to be re-housed upon arrival. They need food, water and suitable temperatures (like any other living creature). We dispatched fresh and healthy live food promptly via a 1st class service, the demise of the insects was purely down to you not collecting them from the sorting office. I don't believe this to be a fault of ours, which is why I'm disputing the negative review that you have left. I will happily discuss this matter further with you and explain in more detail why the above points are so important. Thanks Chris

“I ordered a young boa constrictor from exotic pets. Had no issues regarding transaction, check out was simple. Delivery is on a Thursday, courier collected from exotic pets the Wednesday, I got a phone call Wednesday evening off the courier letting me know a time slot. Thursday morning the courier phoned me to let me know he was in my area, signed for etc and my snake was well packaged with a little heatpack which kept her warm. I slowly put her in her vivarium and left her alone for a couple of days. She's just shed her skin today well and she is very tame, we love her to bits! she's a lovely addition to our family. If we decide to purchase another reptile I know where to look :)”
