I was hesitant about embarking on an everest base camp trek as a solo female traveller. However I always felt completely safe and in good hands with my excellent, funny and sweet guide Kumar. Bijay was also always available for all queries or recommendations. I would not hesitate in recommending experience the Himalayas, and am already planning on using them again for future treks.

Great price, great guides, first rate organization, why pay more with a bigger operator when this trip gives everything for less with the bonus that you get answers to all your e-mails!

I booked this holiday from the UK. I didn't know anything about the company but the price looked good and the website attracted me. Well, we had a brilliant holiday and there was nothing to worry about from the time we got off the plane to the time we left on a plane. We were met from the airport and taken straight to the hotel. We received a welcome brief from the company rep Bijay. He was brilliant and even saw us off on the day we left. Our guide on the trek was Raj. Again he was wonderful. Both Raj and our porters were lovely whilst we were on our trek. Our hotel The Vaishalli was also good and I would definitely stay there again. I would like to go back to Nepal and do another trek. A wonderful country. I would definitely use this company again.

Enjoyed every minute of our trip to Nepal. We had a fantastic break with just enough (not too much!) hard walking to make it worthwhile. Our guide Raj and his team were fantastic and we felt particularly privileged that they invited us to share their celebration of Tihar - we danced until our aching legs could dance no more! Thank you.

Experience the Himalayas gave me a wonderful, stress free, well organized holiday. The staff, especially Dendi and Phuri, where knowledgable, professional and fun. I will most definitely be returning to Nepal and I would have no hesitation in using Experience the HImalayas again and highly recommending them.

I was lucky enough to do the Everest Base Camp Trek in October 2014 with "Experience the Himalayas". The web site had whet my appetite, the price was right and I'd had good e-mail feedback from Bijay in their Nepal office. Organised my flights and passed on the details to Bijay and he took it on from there. Met at the airport and taken to a good hotel in Thamel. After relaxing met Bijay and the trek guide and were briefed well before being taken out for a Nepalese meal. Bijay had earlier sorted out currency exchange and sourcing Diamox plus any other queries. The next morning the adventure began. The trek is AMAZING. Our Nepali guide Shyam was superb the entire trip, our porters were stars. Shyam was ever informative, non stop help and loved learning new card games in the evenings! Nothing and no request was too much trouble and even accompanied me solo up to Nangkar Tshang peak as well as doing Everest View Point twice from Namche Bazar. Upon returning from a truly stunning trek we were well looked after back in Kathmandu by Bijay right up until the taxi to the airport for the flights home. My pictures and videos are public on Facebook so check out Brian Corbeau and see what you could like me marvel at. Come to the Himalayas and "Experience the Himalayas" will give you what the name says.

Experience the Himalayas is more than an average trek. It's route takes you through different terrain every day with stunning landscapes, village life and an amazing river as my personal highlights. Our amazing guide Raj really opened us up to learning about the Nepalese way of life. The hospitality was second to none. Our porters not only carried our bags but cooked us such a tasty noodle soup and showed us how they celebrate Diwali with music and dancing. It really felt genuine and so special to see. The trek was a little harder than moderate in English terms but worth every minute. The yoga at the end of the trek was very much needed. Set on a hill overlooking the lake in Pokhara was a nice way to finish.

From the moment I contacted Experience the Himalayas, I knew it was going to be one of the best choices I had made. David and Bijay were always quick to respond with my many questions about our trip to Langtang & Goisakund and I never felt nervous about our big adventure. The trek was fantastic and our guide, Kumar and porters Furi & Janga were wonderful. We were lucky enough to have a very small group and they made us feel secure & well looked after every step of the way. Kumar has such a vast knowledge & love for his country that it was a joy to trek with him. I would love to complete more treks and will definitely be coming back to Experience the Himalayas. For their outstanding professionalism & choice of treks but also because they always listen carefully to the customers and take on board any changes someone might suggest. Langtang & Goisakund was spectacular and I am still in awe of the beauty I experienced in Nepal, all thanks to Experience the Himalayas! Thank you so much.

initial info good, perhaps an email re the tradegy in annapanau region would of calmed some fears. Airport pick up great, hotel also good. I knew accommodation would be basic but was surprised how cold it was even at the start in lukla. The three rest days were good to improve acclimisation i"m sure this helped with our success in reaching ebc Guide and sherpa were excellent, nothing was too much trouble although we had a small group we had a wonderful trek and i would use the company again - Nepal is a wonderful country, i would love to visit again some day. Diolch yn fawr iawn !!!

Well I have just returned from a fantastic trek in in Nepal. (Base camp- Everest). I would just like to say, what a fantastc and enjoyable time I had. It was certainly a brilliant experience. Your staff in Nepal, are to be commended. Bijay, Tanka (The guide) Rinjay (Assistant Guide) and the young lad who herded the Yaks. They all without exception did your company proud. They were capable, helpful, dilligent and without exception they all toiled ceaslessly to ensure that our group had an enjoyable experience. In fact I have enjoyed it so much, that I would like to join you again and undertake the Annapurna curcuit. I shall be joined by my youngest daughter (23 yrs). But we wont be able to undertake it until 2016, when she has finished at University. I have sent an email to Bijay, thanking him for all his endeavours and, I shall be doing the same with Tanka. They certainly made the trip something that I shall remember for a long long time. Lots of happy and pleasant memories to keep dredging up for years to come. So, again you have my sincerest Thanks. Kind regards. John Dufton.

just to say I had a fantastic time trekking up to Everest. Thank you kindly, I enjoyed my guide's company, Dendi Sherpa was a delight to trek with, and so helpful. Raj at Mountain Sum Valley was nice and very helpful, thanks also to Dipen who's company I really enjoyed, he made my last two days in Kathmandu very pleasant (when I was initially thinking I would have rather have stayed up in the mountains)

Being a 'spur of the moment' traveller I booked EBC a week before departing. David and Bijay (based in Nepal) were extremely helpful and ensured this was a breeze as I needed to get most items in Kathmandu and the team also provided me with other last minute necessities. It wasn't only the scenery and adrenalin of trekking to EBC that made this journey so epic but our guides Dendi and Sanjay were awesome to be around. They were constantly sharing their banter and knowledge as well as looking after our safety. It was always 'more garlic tea', 'maybe some more garlic tea' or 'I think you should have some garlic soup' they were better than any room service I've had! It was great to be on a tour that was flexible to what we wanted on the trek as it really makes a difference.

I could not of ask for a better experience! I have never ever done anything like this in my life. I travelled alone to a country I knew little about and it was the best decision of my life! Experience the Himalayas provided me with all the relevant information for the trip before leaving and once arrived. We were informed of everything and anything from trip information to the Nepali culture, all questions were answered and many jokes were made. This helpfulness didn't end there, the outside companies used by Experience the Himalayas were just as polite, wonderful, cheerful and all round lovely. The porters and guide I had for my trip were amazing! If you get Raj for your guide you're in for a treat! Not only is he a fountain of knowledge but he provides cheerful conversation, humor and encouragement. Don't be afraid to ask question about anything, just be open to the answers you receive. My trip was the Ghandruk Trek, Yoga, and Meditation. The trekking part was as I imagined, apart from the millions of steps! But the yoga and meditation I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. Be warned its pretty intense, not that that's a bad thing but its worth knowing before you go. Top tip; embrace the whole yoga lifestyle while you're there, loose the feeling of looking silly and put your heart into it, even if its not your thing. You have nothing to loose and you might even take something wonderful away with you! As an absolute beginner it was an eye opener and absolutely fascinating! Over all Experience the Himalayas provided me with an amazing experience that I will never ever forget! I had the world opened up to me and met wonderfully brilliant people along the way. Don't think twice about jumping on board and giving it a go! A wonderful service by lovely people in an amazing country! Cheers guys, you may have changed my life for the better!

I want to thank the whole team from 'Experience the Himalayas' for making my trek to the Everest Base Camp experience enjoyable, safe, and memorable. The trip notes were an excellent guide for preparation followed by the initial welcome meeting at Kathmandu. Bijay was a great host at welcoming us and making us feel comfortable and solving any last minute requests. The trekking guides, Tanka & Rinji were a great team, complimenting each other with their personality. They made the tough times bearable and the good times into fun memories. They were like our personal bodyguards!! Tanka is very customer orientated person and wants to please everyone in meeting they special needs. I personally want to thanks the 'Experience the Himalayas' team and my fellow trekkers (friends) for all the support and motivation for this special journey in my life to complete the trek to the EBC. I could not have done it without them! Thank you again. Vinod Sabherwal (The Netherlands)

Hi Dave, Picture is "You trek your way....." we three ladies took time to enjoy all the country side had to offer. "There were people with varying levels of fitness, myself being the slowest of the group. It was nice that I did not feel pressured to keep up with the young fitter members...I had one of the guides walk with me and on many days the company of a couple of the others in the group who also want to take in the sights at a more leisurely pace." On another note I would like to say the guides were excellent. Rgds April
