Hi Dave, Picture is "You trek your way....." we three ladies took time to enjoy all the country side had to offer. "There were people with varying levels of fitness, myself being the slowest of the group. It was nice that I did not feel pressured to keep up with the young fitter members...I had one of the guides walk with me and on many days the company of a couple of the others in the group who also want to take in the sights at a more leisurely pace." On another note I would like to say the guides were excellent. Rgds April

I could not of ask for a better experience! I have never ever done anything like this in my life. I travelled alone to a country I knew little about and it was the best decision of my life! Experience the Himalayas provided me with all the relevant information for the trip before leaving and once arrived. We were informed of everything and anything from trip information to the Nepali culture, all questions were answered and many jokes were made. This helpfulness didn't end there, the outside companies used by Experience the Himalayas were just as polite, wonderful, cheerful and all round lovely. The porters and guide I had for my trip were amazing! If you get Raj for your guide you're in for a treat! Not only is he a fountain of knowledge but he provides cheerful conversation, humor and encouragement. Don't be afraid to ask question about anything, just be open to the answers you receive. My trip was the Ghandruk Trek, Yoga, and Meditation. The trekking part was as I imagined, apart from the millions of steps! But the yoga and meditation I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. Be warned its pretty intense, not that that's a bad thing but its worth knowing before you go. Top tip; embrace the whole yoga lifestyle while you're there, loose the feeling of looking silly and put your heart into it, even if its not your thing. You have nothing to loose and you might even take something wonderful away with you! As an absolute beginner it was an eye opener and absolutely fascinating! Over all Experience the Himalayas provided me with an amazing experience that I will never ever forget! I had the world opened up to me and met wonderfully brilliant people along the way. Don't think twice about jumping on board and giving it a go! A wonderful service by lovely people in an amazing country! Cheers guys, you may have changed my life for the better!

My experience in Nepal was one of the most unique adventures of my life. From volunteering with the country's amazing children, to testing my physical limits on the Poon Hill trek, to learning how to still my mind at the yoga and meditation school, to being within arm's reach of an alligator on a jungle safari. I can safely say that I would never have had such a wonderful set of "experiences" without the coordination of Experience the Himalayas. I'm ready for the next adventure! -Candace Klein, USA

The trek was wonderfully relaxing in that it allowed me time with my thoughts, while also remaining challenging enough to keep me interested and motivated. Although I'm fairly fit, climbing six mountains a day can be difficult, so resting and stretching periodically at the teahouses over a warm fire, nice conversation, and some lemon, honey, ginger tea was a big must. Plus, there's nothing like a big bucket of freshly heated river water to bathe your bones in after a few days. I think I probably got the most restful sleep of my life during most of those nights. The mountains were also a great reprieve from the chaos of the capital and from the pressures of normal life as well. The trek boasted unique and breathtaking views of the lush mountain greenery I was longing to immerse myself in, and all the people we met along the way were all super friendly. Pokhara was also a really awesome little lake town with a manageable selection of shops and a nice variety of goods, restaurants, and things to do. I'd highly recommend this trek and Experience the Himalayas!

My incredible trek up the audaciously breath-taking mountains of the Himalayas, where I met some of the craziest and unforgettably amazing people ever. Food cooked by the power of burning Yak Dung, relentless chocolate eating for energy, and fitness creeping upon me by the day! No doubt, you will feel rather foolish for dropping yourself into such a massive challenge at one point or another. BUT I will tell you this, when you conquer base camp as a team, it feels jolly wonderful! Do it! ...and if you like popcorn, you will be just at home. They have it by the mule transported basket load. Mmm....

It was a tough trek and I had some trouble with the altitude, but everyone suffers a little. The first few days were fun, the middle was okay, but getting up to Kala Pattar was just incredible! For sure this was the highlight of everyone's trip. Without our guide, Tanka, I am not sure that I would have made it up Kala Pattar. It's a steep last climb that's a killer and with every step I just wanted to give up. Tanka encouraged us all and without him I would have been the only one in the group not to have made it. I can't comment for all Experience the Himalaya guides, but Tanka was a great guy and a great guide. He kept the spirits high and everything ran smoothly.

We had a brilliant time with Experience the Himalayas. We were looked after so well and didn't really have to think about a thing! Our guide and our porter were absolutely brilliant and really added to the whole experience. I wouldn't have changed a thing and totally fell in love with Nepal.

Our trip to Nepal was phenomenal. The organisation was slick and Experience the Himalayas took into consideration all of our needs to ensure we had the perfect holiday. The Annapurna mountains were beautiful and our fantastic guide and porter gave us a great insight to the culture of this wonderful nation

It was amazing - the mountains, the people, and the culture! I have never been to a poor country and I was a little apprehensive but all this adds to the experience. If you want a different type of holiday this is it!
