I have returned my gloves twice to the Ambelside store once for the security tag being attached and secondly for a defect in the inner over Christmas. They had no more of the same size and suggested I buy online. I paid £39.99 in the sale for these gloves. They never offered any recompense for my extra journeys. I order online and received my gloves and found a sales label for £30 which annoyed me. I queried this immediately and received an e mail stating contract law and the price was fixed at time of sale from someone called Izabella. She also said there had been some in store sales. I bought my original gloves at £39.99 in the sale. They were £39.99 online. I think it was a brush off from her and feel cheated by field and trac. Not only did I pay post and packaging, I lost 2 lots of petrol and the gloves were £ 9.99 less according to the sale label. Think I ended up paying full price!!!!

My order was delayed by some days. You were u contactable and after more than a dozen phone calls I was told that you had "technical problems". When I did manage to speak to someone from the parent company HQ I was pushed from pillar to post with no one taking responsibility for the problem and told they did not know why I had not been given a tracking code. It was a shambolic episode not helped by equally ineffective and robotic staff from Yodel.

Delaying sending out a multiple item order until one item on the order becomes available is not acceptable

Yodel have tried to deliver 3 times despite me giving instructions to leave my package with a near neighbour. It appears that the courier does not try very hard to satisfy the customer. Still awaiting my goods. Not a great experience at all.

The item is 3 stars. It is worth the £50 but not the RRP. It is nice bit no where near as good as a North Face or Rab. What I want to highlight to any customer is the poor service by Field and Trek. Firstly they charged me twice and then they will not provide a telephone number. They force you to email them. This is really poor and stressful. The number on their website just constantly states it is not working due to a technical issue. As a result I will stay clear of Field and Trek until they provide a realistic customer service.

Love the website, love the prices, hate Yodel. Can't comment on the goods because I haven't received them yet. The card suggested that they couldn't leave them with a Neighbours, yet our neighbour is a horse stables that ALWAYS has someone on hand. Why do companies still support Yodel??? Andrew Done

I ordered two pair of trousers. One pair showed dusty marks on the legs. This should wash up but I did not expect shop soiled items.

I was very impressed with the price of the trainer I ordered, they arrived promptly, but was very dissappointed to find that the box marked correctly as size 6:5 the shoes inside were 5:5 so I have had to send them back and asked for a replacement in the correct size. I have not had any communications back yet? Looking on the website it seems that the trainers I ordered are no longer available, I hope you will honour the price which I ordered the first pair to replace with the correct size, through no fault of my one?

Order received in good time, but promised £10 voucher offer not honoured. No response to email contact. Order therefore returned in absence of any customer service.

I bought several items including two Caterpillar Polo shorts, both medium. However, one turned out to be large and the other small even though were labelled up a medium. Because you have to pay to send them back I didn't bother to return them. As it happens, the small one fitted my wife and the large one was only a little baggy and will no doubt shrink in the wash! Any way, they were cheap.

The goods received were as described. No problem there. The problem was with customer service. In the midst of a frenzy of online Christmas shopping I accidently put the wrong house number on my order. Absolutely my fault. I quickly added up which house it would go to, and thought it was a nearby empty house - no possible retrieval of goods or delivery card. I immediately tried to contact F&T. They make it very difficult. You have to choose a category to use their contact form. The categories given just lead back to the faq. There is no 'other' option. I found an email address, but they did not answer, other than the automated response to say they will answer. There is no phone number on the website. Fortunately I had counted up house numbers wrong, and was able to retrieve my parcel from the occupied house it went to. Customer service is everything. I will not be using F&T again. Everything they sell is available elsewhere, with better service.

Two items arrived broken. In itself a little annoying but these things do happen. What is galling is that they expect you to pay the return costs when they've sent you an item that is broken or doesn't work. A big part of the problem is that Field and Trek use YODEL for deliveries. My 'next day delivery' has often turned up several days late and been stated as delivered when it hasn't. Complaining to YODEL gets you nowhere at all. Not even a reply to my emails or complaints submitted through their website. Field and Trek just blame YODEL when you contact them, but listen up Field and Trek, you employ YODEL so you need to take some responsibility or use somebody that does the job properly. It's your reputation that suffers too.

Overall delivery took far too long The product inside was covered in price tags and sales stickers which could not be removed without destroying the packaging - not good on a present I will not be purchasing from the company again also the £10 off voucher I was allocated was not deducted at the payment section of the order. The customer support is non existent with only e-mail contact available all in all perhaps the experience was very poor
